Imo this was a legacy figure that got pushed into kingdom to fill space. He comes with an energon weapon and is compatible with the other legacy cores, as well as being on the legacy box art. He's a legacy figure that was also in kingdom to bridge the lines

In my defense since to tell the truth I thought Hot Rod was pretty cool when I first saw him and never had a problem with him either imo? I never bought him but I thought this Core figure of him unlike his Cyberverse Deluxe that I don't care much was alright, plus I love his sword weapon too lol. Maybe if I get Core Hot Rod someday on eBay? I could also get his upgrade kit too.

I've been debating getting this figure for months now. I bought Skywarp and really want him to have a proper weapon, but man. He just looks so wrong to me. The lack of color certainly doesn't do him any favors, but even if his paintwork was good, the proportions are just not right. His legs look... fine? Bland without any additional color, but his torso and arms just look terrible. Torso too slim, arms sit too far away from the torso, and the arms are too short. He just looks gross.
