I one time saw an episode from the original show, where Grimlock's legs became the tail, like that figure. Though, nothing was consistent on that show. Also, I was able to put siege Sixgun's legs on Grimlock's arms as cool arm guns. Couldn't Grimlock to hold them as regular guns though.
