I went to watch this in theaters twice. Got me to tear up when I heard the Transformers Prime theme. I learned through the credits that they got the same guy who did the music for Prime, Brian Tyler, I think, to come back and do the music for this

They sure did when I first heard that theme coke in I was like wait…. I know this track and started humming it but couldn’t place why till I found out after the first viewing this was the love transformers always deserved and I’m definitly keeping an eye on josh Cooley and I need to check out Toy Story 4 now, I heard bad about it but from people I know that watched it it was actually good apparently he’s great at making late entries in a franchise ( also my fave shows for Tf are beast wars, animated, and prime)

39:45 When I saw this movie with my mother (who’s also a huge transformers fan), and her face was the same as Orion’s. She never saw any trailers, so she gasped and realized D-16 was Megatron. The movie was investing, you kinda forget who many of these characters will end up becoming.

You can actually pinpoint the moment D-16's mind broke and he becomes Megatron at 51:49 when his breathing evens out and the music changes. Also if you notice at 56:23 the tear tracts from Megatron's optics that he had apparently been crying (someone confirmed he had been crying) so D-16 is still in there somewhere.

Brian Tyree Henry really out did himself with his incredible performance and his deep understanding of Megatron since always wanted to play the villains. Every villain of his and her own Story. D-16 is not only a product of Cybertron’s failed system and takes on Sentinel Prime’s oppression though violent means all the social injustices he had experiences forged his transcendence into Megatron and building up to a rivalry with Orion turned Optimus Prime (due to wanting the same goal of a unified Cybertron but have different viewpoints). But their friendship is doomed since they discovered that shocking realization their leader Sentinel Prime has sold out Cybertron to the Quintessons after betraying his fellow Prime brothers and sisters, and ruled his planet through oppression. D-16 has put too much faith in the system he has held on to until his worldview was shattered that boils up to anger and a personal vengeance after being suffered of the social injustices while Orion still kept his optimism by exposing the truth of Sentinel's corruption. This what makes D-16 a much more of a compelling hero-turned-villain and tragic character in Transformers history. And the rift between two brothers. Both D-16 and Orion both wanted a unified Cybertron but each have different ways to bringing it into fruition.

That scene where D-16 drops Orian to become Optimus Prime, and he declares himself Megatron, perfectly reflects the scene from the 86 movie, where Unicron reformats Megatron into Galvatron. The Transformers god of order reformatting the Autobot leader, then the god of chaos reformats the Decepticon leader, both in a beam of light. It's quite poetic, if you think about it.

Another amazing note. D- 16's optics shift from Yellow, to Amber, to Red throughout his progression in the story. The ending with Megatron dropping Optimus serves as a mirror to Orion saving D - 16 in the race earlier. I was wondering if Megatrron's iconic spiked mace would make an appearance alongside Prime's equally iconic axe... But alas, it did not play out that way.. Primus.. I hope and pray they proceed with producing a 2nd film!! I'd love to see Megatron in his gladiator days and Optimus gaining more experience we know he has with being leader etc. My mother and I watched this film and she laughed at the decal Orion gave D-16... As I have branded myself as a Decepticon with an insignia design that looks like crystalized dark Energon. :D

Small cool bots you might have missed: 1- Windcharger (next to D-16 when he slams his cart against Orion´s pursuers at the start) 2- Names of the racers included Kup, Blurr, Mirage, Hot Rod, Windblade, and about 10 bots that belong to combiner teams 3- Among the High Guard you can see Ramjet, Skywarp, Dirge, Thundercracker, Slipsteam, Red Wing, and Thrust 4- In Orion Pax´s speech to the miners, you can see Lancer, Moon Racer, Red Alert, Decepticon Barricade (Siege style). 5- One of the random citizens that gasp when they see Sentinel kneel before the Quintessons is BlueStreak.

I do want a sequel, I see Transformers One as an absolute point in all continuities (I mean that all continuities have a common beginning which I consider to be this movie). The issue is that they left some loose ends such as the whole issue of the Wintesons (I don't know how to spell it correctly) or why the entire planet Cybertron ended up decaying in such a way that the Autobots, the Decepticons or the Primals ended up migrating to other planets. I hope and narrate that aspect in more detail.

This is a new continuity. How about they keep Bumblebee’s voice like in G1? I’m no “G1’er”, but I’m tired of this trope. We get to hear him speak just for him to lose his voice… But anyway I hope the next movies (however many) take inspiration from the WFC & FOC games. I’m cool with a change. They imply it a lot of times that Bee talks way too much. It’s a main part of his character in this movie. Plus we watched D-16 almost rip out Starscream voice. Would be heart breaking if Megatron completes that objective on his old friend.

As a Transformers fan since G1 and the 90’s era, this movie makes me really happy to see Elita One get more focused and action. Scarlet Johansson fits perfectly for the character like she did with Black widow. I hope our favorite female Autobot lives longer in surviving the upcoming Autobot-Decepticon Civil War in future sequels. The only animated show where Elita one I know alive with Optimus Prime is in Earthspark. None of us want Orion/Optimus to suffered like he is in Transformers: War for Cybertron Trilogy Netflix series.

I went to watch three times in theater. Every time it gets me. I wish to watch it in digital, but it's not available in my country 😢 Chris Hemsworth did amazing job as Orion Pax and then evolving to Optimus Prime. I rank him second best Optimus Prime after Peter Cullen. I just love Orion 🥹 even if he did stupid things, he did those things for others. He proved to be worthy for the Matrix of leadership My heart sunk when D shot Orion and then later drop him. I wanted to cry. You could hear how hurt Optimus sound when he said he betrayed him. Yes! We definitely need sequel! I even writing story with this movie as origin.

I think wild robot holds the best animated film spot by a long shot just due to the art style and crazyyy moving story. But as a transformers movie, this is the best one by farrr. I was very skeptical at first when seeing the trailers, but this was the best adaptation ever put on the big screen! I’d put this over inside out in my opinion. Inside out felt great but also it didn’t revolutionize off its previous installment like this movie did for the others
