Well........ Us grown-ups, the hardcore fans loved this saga, toys and all for 40 years. When this was announced, we were expecting something close to the Cybertron scenes of Bumblebee (2018) or the War for Cybertron series from Netflix (2020-2021). But then i thought of something while watching the trailer. Many kids-oriented original series of Transformers have pushed things along for a younger audience. So now an animated feature film on that same level exist. Parents who are fans of Transformers and have kids or kids who like Transformers will wanna see this one. As much as we were expecting something else, this isn't really a bad thing.

Exactly, when I first watched this trailer, I didn’t like it all. But then I sat there after it ended and thought about how we view Transformers in different continuities. Transformers at its core has always had a serious story, but in G1 it also had humor and most of all “heart”. I watched the trailer again and that’s when it dawned on me that this is for the kids of this generation to experience the same way adults experienced it in the 80s. It really has grown on me and I do feel the “heart” part. Some of the humor I’ll have to see. I’m not gonna raise my expectations, but I’m not displeased with this type of adaptation. Just totally a different type of story then I thought. Hope it will surprise us all and be a great movie for everyone

Since this is a trilogy and this movie is solely going to be about Orion and D-12. It’s probably going to end with the start of the war and the film are going to get progressively Darker as they go on. If they do this having a light hearted comedy as the first film will be good.

I'm so excited to see pre-war Cybertron! Before it was war-torn and dying. Totally agree with you on the colors, they're amazing. So vibrant, it really does give a sense that this is a LIVING planet of metal. Oh, I also loved the robotic antelope / deer. Their antlers turn red when they think they're in danger? LOVE IT. I hope we get to see more Cybertronian fauna.

i didnt think the bayverse was complicated its literally "we need this cube thing" "an ancient evil awakens" "my master wants to collide the earth with cybertron" "we are now being hunted for our crimes against the public peace" "hey remember movie 3? its that again but with different characters" then bumblebee was a prequel that waas ment to buffer "we need this cube" with G1 then rise of the bests was just bumble-bee 2 then of course this one will be a more light hearted pre-pre-war movie which is very dope considering we've NEVER been this far back in the timeline :D

The filmmakers are establishing a new continuity, with the transformers world building of micheal bay, but the studio doesn't wanna outright say it's a full reboot of the movies, so some execs and producers are claiming its in the same continuity as Micheal bays to ease the tension of Micheal Bay Transformer fans Micheal Bay also said he moved away from the series because his initial intention was to make the first two movies, so he got burned out and really didn't care about the series during the Last Knight

Not even Micheal Bay's early Transformers movies were this CRINGEWORTHY with the dialogue. The 2011 Transformers Prime animated show had infinitely better written dialogue and humor that actually took itself seriously with the darker elements of the mythos. And it was meant as a "kids show".
