IDW really hated Outback for some reason. They tried to kill him twice (when they couldnt due to continuity they gave him a red paintjob and renamed him Fastback) and in the one flashback he was in they made into a dirty cop.

Kup was old during the original TV series and the first movie. This feels like the poor guy landed retirement in limbo.

Well that explains why Outback never made a mark in IDW, he's dead... Granted i started reading with Phase 2 but i have all of Phase 1 in book form (Thank you Definitive Collection) so i can start reading at any time. I wonder who the other bots that Kup killed/Siren's team were...
