I still can't believe that Steve Jablonsky churned out some of the best orchestral leitmotifs for Michael Bay's Transformer series. It seems crazy to think about.

i think of it in the same category as what Basil Poledouris did for Conan the Barbarian. I love Conan for many reasons, but it's not a film that is worthy of the score it got. Jablonsky's first transformers score is amazing through and through but the movie is one of the dumber action films i've seen. The same goes for Poledouris in Conan, but atleast that film has some layers. (I didn't hate Transformers 1 btw, i'm just saying it's a popcorn movie with a lot of explosions and it did not deserve the amazing score it got.)
