As a child of the 80s in a pretty poor family this was my first Star Scream toy. He gave me so much joy as the day I got him, I skinned my knee really badly and cuddled as I watched Aeroplane, cuddled by my now late mum in our one time holiday Chalet in Yorkshire

I wasn't a fan of this line when I was a kid too. I was also a young teenager when they came out. But after watching SuperGod Masterforce cartoon, I do have an appreciation of this part of the toyline now.

Nice video as always. Had the 4 Classic Pretenders growing up. Starscream, Jazz and Bumblebee's shells looked nice and I always thought Bumblebee's inner robot was his best G1 toy. I agree with you regarding the missed opportunity to repaint Starscream as other Seekers particularly box art showed two unnamed Seekers, one green and one red. We could have gotten Acid Storm and Red Wing a few decades early. As both a Pretenders and Actionmaster fan, I was glad that AM Jazz and Grimlock could fit inside their respective shells since they looked much better to the accompanying inner robots. Always enjoy your videos. They're very polished and professional.

I had the Legends series Starscream from when I was a kid. I later bought the complete Pretender shell after I began collecting Transformers saw an adult.

I think the Apex Armor (TFP) was loosely inspired by Starscream's Pretender Shell.

This guy (along with the other Classic Pretenders) should have been in Transformers Victory. Hell Guido Guidi came up with pretty badass designs for both the core robot and the Pretender shell.

Tbh...wish I had this to hang out with my Cobra (1/18 GI Joe) figures. The scale is a bit off, but it is still workable if you put him with the Mega Monsters or the Crossover Transformers.

Great job - I had Pretender Starscream and Pretender Bumblebee back in the day, although I preferred the latter if I'm honest, because the 'bot inside looked more like comic/cartoon Bumblebee than his previous figures had in my view...but I digress, yes? (Also, the coolest-looking Pretender shell ever made was that belonging to Catilla, yes...?!). Love what you guys are doing with the GCWO by the way - keep up the good work, yes?

I really enjoy these videos. I'd love to see G1 Star Saber (or Victory Saber) or Countdown and the Rocket Base. The Microman version of the rocket base is wonderful, as well. Pretender Bumbleebee would be cool or any of the G1-G2 European exclusives we haven't seen enough of yet in the U.S. Masterpiece Artfire has not gotten enough love. All your repaint/ehobby type videos are great, so more of that could be good. Maybe a G2 Grimlock. G1 Dreadwind/Darkwing? Whatever you choose, thank you for the awesome content.

Starscream's death from 1986's movie was so epic. And his return as a Ghost and later resurrection by Unicron worked a bit better than Optimus' return (don't take me wrong, I was so happy that to see him back, but I think Starscream's arc was better imho). Speaking on requests, do you have Beast Wars TigerHawk? That's a very cool character and figure. Just in case you need an idea. Thanks for your reviews and videos!
