Spoilers, you have been warned. They were actually supposed to fit in with TFP, however due to a lack of communication with the games and show, the two plots had way to many holes in their bridge together to actually be considered of the same universe. *Here's where the spoilers kick in.* For example, everyone knows around the end of Fall of Cybertron, Megatron forces Tripticon to permanently transform into the decipticon warship known as the Nemesis, similar to what happened to Omega Supreme in TFA. However the writers of TFP confirmed that the Nemesis in TFP is NOT Tripticon. There's also the fact that Shockwave is alive with only damaged optics in TFP, while in FOC Grimlock literally rips him in 2. So to put it short, if there was more communication between everyone, then yeah, they probably would've had movies. But no, they somehow just had to fit it in with the Michael Bay movies when they made Rise of the Dark Spark.

Those were just cinematic cutscenes, there a re more cutscenes with story but they're not pre rendered, they're from the in game engine, I wish they were included in the video but they weren't. An example of these cutscenes is the one where Starscream officially introduces himself to Megatron, and immediately afterward theres a gauntlet of enemies

The movies never failed, tho. They had bad stories and dialogues (except Optimus), but the rest like the action, cgi and music were top notch and hardly any blockbuster can compare to it objectively speaking. And no, just because there's an explosion in front of someone, it doesn't mean that you can't see what's happening. Hell, a good amount of stuff on screen, besides some transformers, were entirely practical and barely any blue/green screen was used, and that takes a good amount of effort to do.

Hell, they even made a fairly new character (Lockdown from Animated) into an actual good villain that sadly most people ignore because "AoE bad".

Skip all the movie for ten minutes of it. There are some slight merit at them, but not as much. However, true, they are popular . Most people prefer easy, simple, plain entertainment. But followers who stay in the Fandom rarely will do it because of the films alone.
