1:32 In Japan Car Robots was retconned as part of G1, the same cannot be said for Robots in Disguise which reused many G1 names.

*Bonus* There was a Japanese episode called Scramble City, which bridges the end of S2 to the movie. It also showcases the ability of different combiners being able to attach themselves to other robots or reconfigure which part of the body they transform into.

Here's a fun fact: the iconic death of Optimus Prime was due to the G.I. Joe movie. Both movies were in production around the same time. The TF team heard that G.I. Joe will be killing off the character of Duke. In response to that, they decided to kill Optimus. However TF the movie came out first, and there was a huge backlash from parents of young fans. Because of this, the G.I. Joe movie altered the death of Duke to him being put into a coma.

I can understand leaving out Generation 2 since it was just repackaged episodes from the original series, but you guys missed out the Japanese OVA 'Scramble City'.

There was a fifth season of G1, which was just episodes from the previous seasons (plus the movie) with host segments featuring Tommy Kennedy and a big Optimus Prime puppet. Really the only thing this video had that I didn’t know was the exact air date of the original series.

poorly edited/directed/acted? how? the acting was fine mark wahlberg was amazing as a protagonist kelsey grammer was amazing as a villain/corrupt govt agent and uhh hugo weaving wasn't in aoe.

I know I liked G1 as a kid. I like the Beast Wars and Beast Machines. I liked Transformers: Prime enough to watch it. Which of the remaining shows are good? The Robots in Disguise sequel really put me off. I don't know if it's the art or the extra people. I don't think its as good as its former show. What's the next thing I should look into?
