Am I the only one who thinks both the repaints of laser Optimus prime are better then the original figure? I find Scourge and Toxitron more visually interesting then the original Optimus they released in legacy wave 1

You mentioned Whiz Bang Auctions & man did that bring back memories. I remember seeing a bunch of those back in the day on eBay & even bidding on some. Most went out of my range, but I snagged 1 real cheap- a purposed TF Masterpiece/ Alternator 1 shot mock up. It was a 'kitbash' prototype w/ Superion's head, Optimus Prime's legs & some other parts glued onto a red Lamborghini. Anyway, I put mine in storage & sold it to help cover moving expenses a decade+ later. I felt sorry for the guy who bought it as it floated around the US for 6ish weeks (address change) before he finally got it (& parts had come off despite careful packing). Anyway, I wish I had snagged others as they were almost cheap compared to today's prototype prices. Thanks for the great video! (I may pick up some of these new ones though.)

As someone who actually likes G2 as a whole, i was gladly surprised to see it getting more love. (Altough, i would prefear getting more of the characters introduced there. Dreadwing, the Laser Rods and the rest of the Rotor Force) Any chance of getting that crocodile Mirage? thats one i would love to see them actually pulling up.

I Love G2! 90's Nein all the Way! Although I already have G2 Ramhet, I wish Cloud Cover was from Dirge instead, and the Tropic Thunder seeker from Thrust. I would also be over the Moon if we got G2 Dinobots.

I was hoping G2 Grimlock would be the blue variant. It's the most commonly depicted G2 Grimlock variant I've seen, and I had the original as a kid. This unreleased yellow variant at least fits the line's neon toxic theme. If we're going full G2 though, can we please get the Decepticon Skyscorchers and their Autobot car counterparts? Those are probably my favorite G2 characters that I've yet to see revisited.

These are really neat. I think these will sell better than the last Walmart Exclusives in my area. Funny enough, it is the deluxe classes that shelf warm. The voyagers and leader classes sell really well.

Thanks for this great news! I am so glad that the Transformers team is exploring the unreleased concepts and allowing fans to imagine what could have been. These deep cuts are always exciting and all they really require are repaints and minor retooling or additional accessories. I hope that the Hasbro team will consider repainting and retooling other fantastic molds to give fans throwbacks to the Starrior toyline. If they repaint titan class Trypticon red he would be an excellent homage to Deadeye the Cosmittor, and the inevitable leader class Swoop would make for a wonderful Cricket. Commander class Skylynx would be a fine stand-in for Speed Trap. A potential Commander class Transformers Cybertron Scourge could double as Runabout (and simultaneously pay homage to his own Cryo variant repaint). Leader Slug would be a good stand-in for Twin-horn, while leader class Transmetal Megatron could substitute for Windstorm. Future weaponizers could be based on other Starriors, with Protectors being Autobots and Destructors being Decepticons (or better still give them new faction symbols); smaller vehicles can fill out the roster of core class characters or be pack-ins with other Transformers. The beauty of these repaints is that they can all serve as possible Shattered Glass versions of these Transformers if Hasbro was concerned about the viability of the Starriors' brand to be marketable to fans of the 80s line.

Not gonna lie, really disappointed that g2 grimlock isn't blue. Born in 97 but I had a g2 grimlock as a kid and unfortunately lost it at the beach. Love the current grimlock mold and was looking forward to a new blue grimlock

Netflix Soundwave doesn't match up to current day Blaster, 1 of the designers said that if they do Soundwave again he would like for him to be a total redo so he would scale better with blaster. I believe the Netflix soundwave is short compared to Blaster. So we should be getting another Soundwave if not in 2024 maybe in 2025. Netflix bumblebee sorry to say but they did kinda release him again (Creatures collide pack) (Goldbug).
