Hey up Luke, cheers bud 😉👍... It seems to be working 'insulation wise' all that I have been using for heating is those halogen lights, and it seems to hold the heat 🔥 in quite well. Nice job, I absolutely need to under seal my van like that, spent a bomb on welding last year. Great editing easy to watch, I just started a channel too. My friend has an Iveco daily camper he’s converting, Luke’s Van Life. they’re way more comfortable for size than mine. Mine is very rustic though. Keep up the good work. Subscribed

Cheers matey 😉👍, yep definitely worth sorting the underside out mate especially if you've spent time and money on it, to give it longevity so to say 😊👍👍👍

Hello, going to look at a 6mtr medium wheel base Iveco Daily tomorrow. we plan to do the same thing you are doing with yours! we also intend to create Vlogs on the progress. i love how you have fully cleaned and painted the underside and chassis. something i think we are going to do, plus cavity waxing the chassis. we plan to almost do a full restoration to the underside. (well i do, my brother will be working on the inside). thankfully the van we are looking at has only covered 114k miles and is a 2004. its going to be a super fun project and im looking forward to giving 110% to the project! we are also looking into retrofitting air conditioning as the one we are looking at does not have it. its something i have done before on another car. its going to be a big change from old Fiat Pandas to a big Iveco van!
@Iveavan5 жыл бұрын
Hey up John 😉👍. Yep, I definitely recommend air-conditioning mate, pointless building a RV vehicle with out it 👍, after working out of a van for more then 25 years, I can tell you it's no fun in the summer, and far more easier to demist the windows in the winter bud😉. Regarding 'Iveco's' watch for rust! Or you'll end up like me, making endless videos of welding, painting and so on bud 😂😉👌... To keep yourself focused follow Ash Pollard and Luke Izzard, they have helped me along, regarding the pain of working on the Iveco and inspiration 😁. Others I like to follow and keeps my mind off the sodding van, (ironically all van related though 🤔 and in no particular order! ) Gadget John,(and his other channel 'on tour' ) One man and his Whippet, Mevi, Betty boom dockers, Amber Project, and urban Stealth Campervan Man... Van wise! Greg Virgoe look no further! he's the sodding guru at this shit! Budget 'X' it twice (to stay on the safe side.... But in saying that, I don't think I've broken my 10k limit..... yet 🤔 but I can't be far off it now!😢). Time schedule 'X' that twice too..... Mine was meant to be ready 18th November 2018 🤔..... Good luck in your build matey and I shall follow your progress 😉👍👍👍

@@Iveavan thanks for the tips and help! i should be in bed now to be up and ready for tomorrow! i'll be sure to get the vlogs up and running the same way i did with my old fiat panda and citroen BX video logs. no fancy editing sadly but it will get the job done. we are only got for 1 skylite on ours.. going to fill the roof with solar. sure looking forward to it. hope to not spend over 10K on it, but we will see. i like to think i have the easy job of welding, undersealing, cavity waxing brake line replacing and other mechanical repairs. all stuff i have done when i restored my old Fiats and citroen. This is gonna be fun!

@@Iveavan well we went to look at it but the engine had metal filings in the oil. so we walked away. really sad about it. corrosion wise it had been welded on the rear floor where yours was. the front however was perfect. really really sad about it. it was that full of partials you could have used it as metallic paint. so we are still on the look out. we may go for a more modern one.. sadly does not look as nice.. wonder if the fronts can be swapped around. you know the older front on the newer van if the wings are changed, bumpers and lights.. 10/10 would do it. well i joined a few facebook groups.. we will see if i can find one on them. so disappointed. all the brake pipes had been replaced too.

Nice job, seeing as you’re going to such lengths to get a good finish you should check out the linen effect fabrics from endurefabrics.co.uk . Same type as outside van or rb components use.
