just did this to my wii, this video was very helpful! IT LOOKS SO SICK NOW!!! one thing i would say to people doing this themselves, when taking apart the wii a small square nut popped out, and its there to hold the screw in place for the clock battery. if you don't reinsert it, the screw will have nothing to tap into. just something to keep in mind before re assembling. i also left out both rf shields and everything still fits snug, and i have 4 extra screws because no rf shields. lovely video, and lovely result!

Yeah… Not super easy… Wii its quite complicated… but not very hard just complicated with too many bolts 😂

I’m thinking about doing this I looked on eBay there is a wide variety of them. I noticed that they had a clear blue case, and it instantly brought me flashbacks to the offbrand GameStop, Wii remotes I think I’m just gonna go clear black

How good is the quality of this shell? I saw some people have problems with the GameCube port doors and the front panel on other brands. How is that on this brand?

Its quite good but yeah not gonna lie… the port sometimes dont work as it should… :)

I just did this swap but with a smoked black case. I ended up using original dust Cover on the front. I noticed you didn't . Is it OK to not fit dust cover as the one that comes with kit doesn't have a dust cover

@fabiofontes iv already fitted the shell it looks good. The felt dust cover on the front I meant dude. Iv used the white original one but wanted to use the clear one but it doesn't have the felt cover attached and it's not really transferable

Well… its a pain in the ass because of the bolts, theres a lot.. But if you take pics of the process you should be good! Or follow the ifixit tutorial…

Im shure yes its possible :) … not shure where the traces are tou need to measure them with multimeter or look for a schematic…

Obrigado!! Não, neste caso não funcionam como dissipadores apenas como “protetores “ . Não tem qualquer problema remover. Costumo fazer isso em vários consolas sem problema. :)

I was well up for doing this until I watched the video. Looks a bit involved for my skills. I've done a PSP front shell and a GBA shell swap before but this looks like it has a lot more steps. Anyway, obrigado pelo vídeo.

Hey! The Nintendo wii is not very repair friendly, but not impossible for shure! Give a shot, slowly, with a couple pictures to help u re assembly and u can do it! 💪

Tip for taking apart and not messing it up is draw a simple copy of each side u are removing screws from on a piece of paper and tape screws on every screw location. It may take a little longer but when reassembly comes it’s super awesome to kno and not depend on memory alone. I just installed the ave hdmi port on a Wii and used a dark clear shell. Looks awesome below my TV
