Man, I love these purpose built vehicles! Some day on my channel I'd love to be able to collaborate with you on the perfect step-van contractor setup. 14' box with a 12v Cummins, and maybe convert it to a 4wd. That would be so sweet with a classic "The Helpful Contractor" wrapped on the side. Life goals.

Well, I know I do not want to paint my 58 pink ! That bob you did to the frontend is not bad, but to me it seems to have a British look. Most people would not notice it but having had my 58 for over 30 years I kinda know the lines and dimensions. It was really cool that you had the whole family helping. Looking forward to seeing the continuation of this project.

You will have to stay on top of cleaning the fan blades though. The problem with leaving the orange peel is the outgassing and where it is, is it's in an area where condensation will build first all through the night and into the morning, it's also in a spot that will trap heat and bake the orange peel causing it to crack the gloss coat prematurely. The good thing about it you used an epoxy primer which will stave off the rust much longer than standard primer so yeah, you're right, leave it alone. 👍 And Muriatic acid and a hard bristle push broom should take care of the pink floor😂

Hello Austin! Nice to see you teaching your sweethearts some welding and tool skills. Cool project! I bought a 1954 GMC cab from Saskatchewan,I'm making something simalrr to what your building here .I have an 2006 4x4 , 4.8 chasis and Im installing a new (they went out of bussiness) fiberglass Hymer clam shell camper body onto the back of it. Kinda like what they call a snail but an earth roamer style feel .When I didn't want over spay on my frame I mix a half cup of corn starch with a bottle of dish soap and use an old spray gun to coat the surfaces I want to stay clean.Then I use the peresurewasher to clean all the product off after it's all done.Good job with the dash !

You are so talented but when you said you were going to build a double tube bumper for that truck I almost threw up in my mouth. Sorry buddy but that truck is going to be way too cool to have that ugly front bumper hanging on it.
@stevec674 Жыл бұрын
Agreed. The front bumper seriously takes away from the overall aesthetic. Needs something more original and fitting with the nostalgic look - tighter in with a small wrap around to the sides.
