I wonder if they could host special events like weddings corporate events fancy dinners to bring in money? might even work out a plan with University to have immersive workshops in history, horticulture, period architecture etc where student and teachers could pay to live on the estate for a week to earn graduate credits. Maybe one weekend a year reenact the time period for a festival to draw out more sightseer. What about a Christmas or Yule feast that people would pay to attend and have a period party. Photo books of the Estate if you do not have any already videos things that can be purchased over the internet from people all over the world. offer sponsorships any where from an entire garden to a plant or tree with picture cards each year and update on how their plant is fairing. of course with a reminder sponsorship renewal is coming up. Maybe a class could go together and sponsor a hedge for a year. little plastic tag would say sponsored by so and so's class of such and such school for 2022 etc. Garden clubs could sponsor something and receive a certificate suitable for framing with the year. What club can collect the most certificates. after ten years the club is invited to a garden tea party.of course the papers local to the club will write up the honor and more than one club can be hosted on the day.

Janine McGuire, So many wonderful and inspiring thoughts. My hopes are that a few of them will work successfully for keeping this worthy project afloat, as well as the livelihood of those that have been involved with and loved being a part of bringing this estate and gardens back to life.

@@rockreader4298 I got to thinking about our local library offering bonsai classes a few years back. Perhaps you could offer classes on gardening. Maybe offer the option of work tuition where every hour of volunteer work pays so much toward tuition. Did I suggest a calendar showing the gardens throughout the year. A picture book showing features of the estate with it's history. You know one of those coffee table books to show how hip you are. You could have smaller ones on the different features renovation and what took. Maybe compare original cost to the cost of renovation. People love pictures and some of us want all the info to go with them.

The people must be able to walk on the grass or the place will die again.
