Everything was done by me while working everyday. The car looked nice before but I knew the rust would kill it soon. I decided to do a new look. I’m not perfect there are still missed dents and a few blemishes. I still need to wet sand and buff it also.
I used 3 coats of base and 3 coats of clear. Used a little over a gallon of base coat. Future plans are to strip the engine bay and paint and swap. Redo fuel and brake lines and more. This car is a great reliable stock single cam auto no vtec. Gets me around everyday never skips a beat.

Dang the amount of work within this 37 minute video is insane! I want to do something like this and redo my whole ek hatch seam seals, rust clean up, and a nice simple respray but I just don't know where or how to start going at it. I thought my civic was in pretty rough shape but when going through the video and seeing what type of problems you had to tackle made me realize mine aint to abused compared to what you needed to take care of on your civic! amazing work my dude!

I use an impact screwdriver like you would use one the Philips head on the rotors.

what a great rebuild, came out so fresh. also do you mind sharing details about how did you put the type r honda emblem on the hood? is it held on by glue/tape or you had to drill any holes?

I went off a few forums from back in the day and used those measurements and I used the oem adhesive tape it came with and I clipped the little pins flush that would go in the holes. I didn’t drill holes. Also kinda wanna glue it so no one can steal it easily 🫤

How much in total did you spend restoring it..... couldn't you have just bought one in better condition from the get-go? Either way, nice job..... though I'm not particular to cars that are color matched, I feel like too much of it doesn't make the car look right, you know, like how ghetto people just spray paint the whole damn car and everything on it thinking clolor-matching everything is cool...... even windshield wipers? You know what I'm talking about! Hahaha. (Not directed towards you btw, yours is done right). I prefer all my accents black (moldings, door handles, license plate frame, front/rear lips, spoiler, sideskirts, even mirrors)...... but that's just me. But I supposed you were going for the Type R look.

So I got the car for 2500 Sold the carbon trunk for 400 Sold the tracklife fenders for 350 Sold the bys rep bumper for 300 Sold the top one side splitters for 120 Sold the old wing(same one but all damaged) for 150 I also put the carbon hood on another one of my project cars I paid 145 for the type r mirrors in Japan 260 for the Jdm ek9 headlights in Japan 350 for the type r moldings in America 70 for the sidemarkers 300 for the em1 grille 150 for the em1 lip 250 for the new wing 30 for fenders 80 for the back up cam 10 for the third brake light 18 for the underglow 100 for the android radio and bezel 300 for the integra interior 1000 on primer paint and supplies Gas for my welder $$? Many more things like bumper beams and seam sealer and steel it self etching primer 100$ to remove the windows 200 to reinstall(new windshield as well) I could have found a cleaner one for sure but at the time I bought this car I needed a daily asap because I was in the middle of my em2 engine swap project and that used to be my daily. Im definitely forgetting something’s for sure The hardest part was I run my own buisness in the spring and summer and I work long days. Everyday of the week so it really slowed this project down.

Hood hinges fender liners bumper alignment brackets I’ve gone through the whole front suspension with new arms and bushings as well I’m definitely deep into it now and I plan on putting in my k20a2 soon with refreshed bay and manual conversion
