A baby Robin fell into my yard 3 summers ago. His parents did not find him after dark. I checked all day long. He saw me so I spoke to him. He has come back, this is 3rd year now. Buzzes house, cheeps, then waits. I come out,find him and we 'talk'. God looks after the birds. Mr. Cheers is always fat and beautiful.

Oh my friend! We have one bee box (5 layers of boxes sitting on each other) and last year my husband cultivated 120 lbs. of honey! Ask for help with this... you will LOVE the free honey as it tastes so good! We trade ours for eggs and beef with people who raise those animals. Have courage... it is not difficult once you learn how. Another thing... the bees are generally 'sweet' around those who care for them and will amaze you with their personalities... not even kidding you! Enjoy this new adventure. It is most satisfying when you reap the rewards. Your friend from Canada.

Your yard is always so pretty. It's a cool windy and wet day here in Oregon. Never dis on the rain because usually after June it's gone. I went out and picked rhubarb for Easter Sunday Dinner and I had blossoms on my Italian plum trees. So excited I have loads of berry bushes and a small orchard. I am only going to allow the trees to get no higher than 5 feet tall. Any way I see your kittens are out with you and that is fun also. Have a blessed Easter weekend Catherine.

We have a Ryobi lawnmower as well, but it’s the more powerful version. Our property is steeply sloped at the front and side and the mower handles it like a dream. It even has power assist that helps for the steepest inclines. Granted the mower itself is much heavier than our old corded version, but the battery lasts for the whole of the mowing which takes a couple of hours to do. We also use Ryobi power tools with the 18v battery, but knew we needed to use the beefier mower/battery for the garden. Now we just need to upgrade our Ryobi strimmer to a higher voltage version.

Oh my at the leaves! I think that’s my biggest problem in my entire yard (2 acres). I have a woodland garden area and then my English cottage garden. So for now I’m only tackling my cottage garden. Every time I go out I just see how much needs doing. It’s somewhat overwhelming, But it has to be done before I can relocate my planters to this new area. Oh course all those planters need pruning the dead out. I’ve been planting seeds and they are doing great! It really makes me happy seeing those seedlings grow into beautiful plants. My sweet peas are six inches now. I use an old sheet, canvas, or something of that nature to sweep my leaves onto. It makes it easier for me to keep the debris together. I usually put some in a mulch bag. Your flowers are absolutely gorgeous! It won’t be long and your garden will transform into a beautiful and charming area. I can’t wait to see all of your new ideas. ❤The green paint is gorgeous! I’d love that color for my birdhouses.

We all have to start somewhere, right? My front yard is full of leaves from two towering oak trees that drop their leaves all winter. During the summer they provide WONDERFUL shade but they can feel like an annoyance. I too have lacked motivation as we have had three consecutive months of SO MUCH RAIN I feel any plants I have are struggling to survive. I feel waterlogged as well. So you aren’t alone. Yes, I love my RYOBI tools but you do need more than one battery. 😊
@roguea9878 ай бұрын
Just a comment on the Ryobi electric mower. You may find it underpowered compared to your old one because you have the 18v. Neighbor bought one of those; but, his used 2 18v batteries with a 16" deck. Seemed do do well enough for our suburban lawns. I have the larger version with a 21" deck with the 40v 4ah battery. I love this thing. So much better than my old petrol mower. No tune ups, oil changes, or worries about stale gas. Much quieter, easier to use, and lighter. I'll never go back to the petrol lawn equipment.

Hello Catherine 😊 there's nothing more satisfying than watching the start of a new gardening season. I've already cleaned up my garden, and then it snowed..yuck. sun is back out now, and snow is gone. Mother nature likes to trick you this time of year😂. I have to reseed some areas of grass too. I'm going to try a new method of pre-germinating my seed. I saw it on KZbin . Supposedly, the grass comes in thicker and grows faster. I'll give it a try 😉 Happy Easter 🐣
