So it is 2022. Long time follower to ms brach -years and reading her books. Just listened to this 2020 talk! Loved it. My biggest problems in life is myself. My whole life I felt there is something “wrong” with me. Always looking for the magic to free me from my pervasive anxiety and rumination revolving around how horrible life is and how can I feel better. I don’t realize that I am not the only person who may feel this way and that it is OK and I am ok not nuts. Thx Tara.

I too did not realize others, nearly all others, are dealing with despair and feelings of worthlessness, blame, shame and self torture. It helps to know that. But why? Is it the spiritual path? Does the spiritual need to damage the body?

So full of presence, wisdom and care. Its so wonderful to watch you Tara and to be invited to your Q/A:s. Thank you for bringing compassion, balance and healing into this world. I think that is something we need more than ever. One of my favorite quotes on fears/anxiety (I heard it on your podcast with Jim Gordon) was something like "to deal with the fear you have to walk through the fear". That really resonated with me. Thank you and namaste!

This talk was most helpful. I struggle with anxiety/panic disorder/c-PTSD for many years. I have been following a number of different teachers for a good while, involved with 'self-inquiry', meditation and mindfulness skills.(* I also have been fighting breast caner for the past 14 yrs...this past Jan. 2022, I was diagnosed with it becoming 'metastastic'. I am on an experimental tx...it seems to be helping, except the side affects can be debilitating. I have other health issues besides this. I am Hopeful and see myself in recovery...Living with a terminal disease, has been a blessing with focusing to stay in the moment, knowing just how Impermanent this life is. So, underneath the anxiety and all is 'Grief'. I can so relate and empathize with what everyone seems to be experiencing with so much uncertainty with what has been happening in our world. I love how you explain so easily about, 'just allowing' to feel what comes. I am able to do this to a certain point and have allowed the feelings to surface even though they are unpleasant... after a while, the stress lessons in spite of the 'ruminating' and hashing over the trauma when it gets triggered. The more I allow, the lessor the feelings take over. It eventually passes. Honestly though, I get tired and fed up with myself when I still 'trance react' as you say. I realize this is a process and how I must be more gentle with myself with this process. Thank you for the helpful tips and your compassion and understanding for what we are all going through. Blessings to you Ms Tara. GBY! Namaste'...❤🩹❤

i love your videos but as a person with anxiety i can't be told "relax your heart" with much success in relaxing in general as any attention paid to the heart to many with anxiety is uncomfortable as it's something of an area of hypervigilance that has a tendency to cause very unnerving symptoms relating to anxiety. It really sucks because so many classes and mediations bring up the heart and opening it when so many people have other chakras that are very inactive and often with overactive heart chakras. Then they go to classes and listen to guided mediations and every single one mentions the heart. Thats not your fault though, just trying to spread awareness
@ceeceemolineaux68133 жыл бұрын
Oh my gosh, I thought I was the only one. Any time a meditation focuses on the heart, it seems to trigger my health anxiety. That being said, however, this meditation with Tara was overall so calming. I loved it!
@amyandrews43333 жыл бұрын
@@ceeceemolineaux6813 yeah that's kinda why i mentioned it because although it's with the best intentions, everyone is seemingly going for the same popular chakra to open up when if you're someone with anxiety and/or are an empath it's not something that you want to be constantly encountering when things like the root chakra for example are so great to give our attention to for much needed grounding! or the sacral or solar plexus!
