She’s in a biological female body, and in a world where New God technology has Father Boxes and Mother Boxes (the latter obviously being a female variation), by default that makes her female. I have no personal issue with anyone who wishes to use those pronouns, but the only logical reason for Halo to be “they/them” is because there are two entities in one, and that in of itself is really stretching it, because Gabriel died - the spirit inside the body is that of the Mother Box.

There are many transgender people who still believe in their Islamic faiths. They know it's "sacrilegious" but both are still a part of who they are, and they don't want to have to choose between their identity and their beliefs. Im not religious at all, but it felt like they introduced that magic user in the zatana episodes, only to introduce a devout Muslim, now that Halo is whatever the writers decide she should be. These streaming service seasons, feel like a different show entirely. It got Ren & Stimpy Syndrome. Just because it became directed at Mature Audiances, doesn't mean the show should have changed completely. Halo's plot was garbage compared to Garfield's Drug Addiction, Arsenal's PTSD, Artemis grieving, and plenty of other character's arcs.

From a biological pov, humans are male (assigned male at birth) or female (afab), from a sexual identity pov, it can (if you so decide) be male, female or other. But if you wish to retain the same gender identity as your birth gender, it is all up to you.

In terms of the dcu this scene is wholesome, at the time Halo is trying to seek answers to who they are with 2 different consciousness in their head making a 3rd person, they are a sentient robot trying tl make sence lf what they know and i think thats sweet, however from a religious and more realistic point of view, the Quaran (im so sorry if i grt this wrong or spell things incorrectly) but the religious holy scripture of the Muslim religion states that they cannot be Lgbtq, i think they can support but they cant tale part and be trans or bi, ect, so thats false information. ​@@itachi16ful in term of gender identity (in her/their mind) Halo/violet may identify as non-binary, and biologically speaking, her/they are Assigned Female at Birth (female body). Many trans people, while they identify as the opposite gender, still possess the same biological gender. A trans man (female to male) has the body of a girl and was born as such, and define himself as a boy/man/husband. But just because they are trans man does not mean their sexual orientation changes, a trans man can still fall in love with a Cis-gender man and bear children (their body is felale after all) Even on an administrative/social point of view, it isn't so simple, because everything is designed on sn heteronormative basis, even in western countries/culture, which can sometimes clash with lgbtq self-identification. I'm not Muslim, but I assume, wearing a hijab shouldn't pose an issue in her case. (I think?) As far as I know, Islam is a complexe religion (a way of life too?), and from what I've seen, the show doesn't seem to put much effort on developing this aspect of the character... I may be open to lgbtq, but I can understand that others are not, for diverses reasons.

One day at 24 years old you decide to change your gender because you believed they got your gender wrong at birth and it was incorrectly assigned so living your life as a woman only to find out your nonbinary and went through 5-6 years going through therapy, hormone replacement, lipstick, more women clothing all that isn’t cheap. Nonbinary going by what ever gender you feel like!! They never got your sex wrong at birth people believe they got your gender wrong and they didn’t get your gender wrong because when your young it doesn’t matter your gender usually corresponds with your sex in order to have sex as a guy you’d need to biologically have a penis sooo so from birth Your a “he”. Gender has become a social construct that people decide later in life.!

I feel like this show jumped the shark on taking on more sophisticated social topics. What is really the inferrence of this scene? That it is okay to be Muslim, Transgender, and both? Does it make a statement of this being universal? In that case it really can't make that statement and not include the fact that in the majority of the Islamic world, Halo would be killed for her identity. The fact that this show is made for a western audience makes this topic harder to talk about because it is really putting forward its argument incredibly ignorantly. It is ignorant to suggest that "It's okay to suggest that Islam is cool with the lgbtq" because we know for a fact that it isn't. Pockets of muslim practitioners are okay with it here in the west because they acclimate to western values, but these values aren't universal or shared among the greater muslim population in the world. And of course that's the case because you can look at Christianity and find the same disparity of beliefes within that faith. Some Christians, mainly in major metropolitan societies, are cool with a forward and progressive way of looking at sexuality and identity. It is not the same across all denominations and sects of Christianity. It is a good message to tell kids "You can be who you want to." But i feel its irresponsible to not also say "Because you live here, that is something we can do. Other people in the world can't afford the same luxury of living truthfully to themselves as we can." I truly wish the people who are championing these progressive messages would condemn the backwards thinking people in parts of the world that would stone people like Halo. Lift up the good way of thinking and condemn the bad way of thinking.

Okay Techincally Transgender Muslims exist but only in a portion of Asia, the Buginese people culturally accept Trans people for a long time. Because even though they are mostly Muslims, many pre-Islamic rites continue to be honoured in their culture, including the view that gender exists on a spectrum. So the idea is realistic, its just Young Justice didn't do it right
