@Aaliya kapoor sodomy is illegal in Pakistan, not homosexuality. And it's the exact same law the British imposed as the one the Indian supreme court only ruled unconstitutional in 2018. It's still considered taboo in India and Pakistan but both countries have made strides towards tolerance recently. Can't say the same for India's religious minorities recently though. Maybe you should concern yourself with their plight lest you be accused of concern trolling and hypocrisy. Have a great day.

Sexual identity is half innate and half acquired, so to speak. Thus there isn't a real freedom of choice because forcing oneself to commit to something that isn't his or her true nature would be forcing that person to contradict with him/her-self. However it's also plastic up to a degree so it's not altogether impossible for someone to alter his or her identity if that person has a truly strong will to do so. It's quite complicated. Some may be fine with who they are whilst some may not be so. Imposing what is called norm on every human would be unwise.
