YOUR THE BEST, ENDING THE NIGHT BY ACTUALLY UNDERSTANDING THE EQUATION/COLOUR CHANGE, INSTEAD OF JUST MEMORISING IT FOR THE SAKE OF MEMORISING IT!! truly amazing

Amazing demonstration! It's really helpful to see actual chemicals alongside their theoretical formulae. Thank you!

Thank you very much for including additional material. I'm a mature student with no prior exposure to chemistry except for GCSE (a long time ago!). I'm currently writing a lab report on coordination compounds and this has been very helpful in explaining all the stuff I was meant to know before enrolling. As everyone else in the class has studied this topic to a certain degree, we've had a very fleeting introduction. I'll see if I can work through all your videos and give em a thumbs up for the help.

Really useful videos, where are the videos for the new syllabus with more reactions?

If I add excess NH3 to cobalt ions do get the same equation as with copper ?

When I say this I mean like this, how do you know that it is [CU(OH)2(H20)4] 2+ and not [CU(OH)4] for example

Hey very quickly do you have a list of all of the substitutions required for OCR and the colour changes and also how do you know when for example in a substitution it forms [Metal ion, (X)4, (Y)2] or just simply [Metal ion, (X)4] etc?? If that makes sense! This stuff I really need to learn tonight!!! and is there an easier way to contact me e.g. through Google Plus or something??

Why don't Ligands substitution form insoluble precipitates and they form aqueous solutions instead?

Legendary! just one question, how comes Cl- ligand can be present in an octahedral complex ion with a coordination number of 6 if it's too large? for example in [NiCl2(NH3)4]+?
@MaChemGuy
@MaChemGuy 8 жыл бұрын
Thanks. Those NH3 ligands are small enough
@mrhalol3

Is there any way to work out what is small enough etc. or is that too complex for the syllabus/exam? Thanks
@MaChemGuy
