In this episode, The Mountain Bike Team heads north to Interior British Columbia which hosted this year's Trans BC 6 day blind enduro. The crew opted for the dirt bag package at the race, so rather than having full support with shuttles and meals, they did it themselves with a few other riders seeking the same experience. On top of self shuttling and cooking, tent camping was the biggest piece of the dirt bag program providing ample amount of time at some of BC's jaw dropping campsites.
Unfortunately John Richardson had a crash on day 1 that took him out, but Devon Bumstead, Parley Ford and Myles Trainer carried on through a crazy week of racing.
The 6 day blind enduro averaged 4,000ft of climbing each day with mind melting, highly technical race stages. Blind racing is one of the purest forms of mountain bike racing. Riders show up to these races with no practice or any idea of the trails they will be racing. It creates a low key atmosphere where riders interact with each other rather than worrying about practice or preparation.
After 6 long days of racing, Transition rounded out the podium with employees Myles Trainer in first, Devon Bumstead second, and Giddyup Squad member Russell Bobbitt in third!
