Double passive is allowed in English Grammar, but in some cases the double passive construction creates ambiguity. In that case it is advisable to avoid double passive

(Change the narration) = He requested that he might do the work. --- স্যার, এখানে requested এরপর কি অবজেক্ট বসবে? কিন্তু স্যার আপনি বলেছিলেন যে requested একটা ট্রানজিটিভ ভার্ব। তাহলে এখানে কেন Intransitive হিসেবে ব্যবহার হয়েছে? তাহলে কি বইতে ভুল আছে? একটু জানাবেন স্যার সময় করে। 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾

শ্রমিক নেতাকে গ্রেফতার করার আদেশ দেওয়া হয়েছিল। The workers' leader was ordered to be arrested. এই বাক্যটি ভুল বলে মনে হয়েছে। এখানে আদেশ দেওয়া হয়েছে workers' leader কে গ্রেফতার করতে কিন্তু The workers' leader was ordered দ্বারা Leader কে বলা হল অন্য কাউকে গ্রেফতার করতে। বস্তুত পুলিশ কে আদেশ দেওয়া হয়েছে leader কে গ্রেফতার করতে। মনে হয় বাক্যটি এমন হ‌ওয়া উচিত। It was ordered (by the magistrate) that the workers' leader should be arrested. It was ordered to arrest the workers' leader. আমার ভুল হতে পারে। আপনার মূল্যবান মতামতের অপেক্ষায় রইলাম। ধন্যবাদ।
