Translink 98 B-Line Richmond Centre / Burrard Station 2000 ~ 2009

98 B-Line, a direct bus service that connects Richmond and Vancouver, was discontinued on September 7th, 2009. This bus service is replaced by Canada Line, a new rapid transit line servicing the Vancouver International Airport, Richmond and Vancouver.
September 4th, 2000: 98 B-Line went only between Airport Station and Burrard Station. No service on Saturday, Sunday & Holidays
2001: 98 B-Line service was extended to Richmond Centre, 21 hours a day, 7 days a week.
2007: The busway, two centre lanes reserved for buses separated from general purpose traffic by landscaped medians, was removed for the construction of Canada Line.
February 13, 2008: 3-door boarding in effect. Passengers using prepaid & validated fares could board through any door.

Don't worry, the 1998 New Flyer D60LF buses that were used for the 98 B-Line are still around and in active service today, although they're not used for B-Line routes anymore.

Both the 480’s “temporary” discontinuation and the retirement of the D60LFs happened 3 years ago.

R8057 to R8084 uses a bus route 620 Bridgeport Stn/Tsawwassen and 480 Brighouse Stn/UBC.

the 98 b-line time is not predicted well and the route runs along the traffic lights in the city. Skytrain times is more predictable and runs more faster than the bus can.

Sadly these busses are all gone the remaining b line busses can be seen on SFU production way 145 SFU Burquitlam 143 and 701 Maple Ridge Coquitlam all on weekdays only
