Transmission bell housing repair

Someone forgot a bolt I welded it up

Hi thank you for posting this video. I have a 06 f150 4.2 that has a 2” hairline crack inside the housing that’s been rebuilt (maybe) that not wanting to go into 2nd gear. New pump and torque converter. We have so much money in this issue. Is it Possible that the small surface crack is the issue? My husband won’t let me drive it at all until we fix it but I’m really getting frustrated. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hey, sorry for the late response I am not a transmission guy at all. They brought me the transmission case to be welded. Sorry.

I’ve done the same thing on a 4l60e. Won’t do that again.

They left a bolt out or tried to pull the transmission off with a bolt still in?

Yes it appears they left a starter bolt in
