Transmission Round 2 - European 4motion Transmission Going In!

Well after the ending of the last video, we remedy the situation with a new (used) transmission. We are able to take it out in just 2.5 hours!

The major difference between the gasser and TDI box is gear ratios that is not in the mecatronics unit. That is the valving and control for the automation portion. On the manual transmission cars you actually can swap a FWD gear set into an AWD 6-speed box.

@SteveClements-ju9rr I don't know a ton about the caddy platform past the mk1 version. I assume it like most VW models share a good deal with other similar sized vehicles. If it shares the majority of its components with a golf or passat, I'd guess it's in putting the right parts together. If you need help, I would talk to the guys over @darksidedevelopments. I get most of my parts from them, a good group of folks.

Why didn't you get a new transfer case with the transmission just in case the one you have was also damaged.

I did end up getting a different transfer case. The original one i was using did in fact get damaged. Turns out when the front differential wobbles, that affects the angle drive as well.
