WiFi: Available good for general browsing
General Comments: I was surprised that there was no food or drinks service onboard given both LNER and Avanti have some form of food service running. The carriage I was seated in was also quite cold, I would bring a jumper just in case this is normal! I'm personally a fan of the Nova trains, other than the temperature I found the journey very comfortable with a great seat, table and large window view. The service was perfectly on time for my journey

How these compare to the older virgin/Avanti trains?

At the time of travelling I found the Avanti trains far more comfortable and there was a hot food and drinks service provided.

Is this a new train? Is this really 1st class?

These are the current trains as of 2020 and reasonably new, and yes it is 1st class.

Oh if you want engine sound stand in the area where the disabled toilet is near the door. I beg my parents to let me stand there instead of sit down
