I think a solution to making the screens bigger would be to have a grab pole or a few directly under the screen similar to the hcmt and e class teams in melb to prevent people from hitting there heads as they won’t walk directly under it

I remember the C series showcase at Yagan Square with the display showing a picture of Perth's skyline, along with the station it's at (which was Perth) and a nicer UI of which side of the car the door will open. I don't know why it got so simplified here. I also don't think space is an issue, considering the display size seems to look the same as the mock up.

@@TransportofPerth I have not been on the C series yet so can't really say for sure. Comparing your video to that of the mock up's, they may have only reduced the size of the housing, while keeping the display size the same. But then it's just speculation from my part.

@@TransportofPerth The "music" is the on-hold tone for the Emergency Help Point intercom. You can see the passenger who is trying to get out, push it at 28.42. Regarding the 2 announcements for Elizabeth Quay, I think it is the normal announcement when departing the previous station (Perth UG) and then the normal announcement when arriving at the next. Because the stations are so close they play very close together. 😀
@TransportofPerth7 ай бұрын
Oh that's weird that the on-hold sound is like that and plays through the whole train? Or maybe just that carriage. Yeah makes sense they would push it at Perth if they can't get out or they think it's the door open button since it's on the side. I know that's why there's two announcements but on the B-series it is programmed to only say it once in between Perth and Elizabeth Quay (the only exception to saying it twice everywhere else), so this doesn't happen.
