TBH it is not hard to be not creepy to anyone... the reason you feel creeped out if when someone is a threat. Your subconscious somehow picks up on it and puts you on your guard... like if you're speaking to someone who hates you or is perving on you. Kinds like how a deer automatically detects a predator nearby. You can still ask these questions... but if there is no hatred in your heart... you will not creep out anyone. You might be seen as kinds weird though. This man has hatred in his heart for queer people... even if he acts polite, people will still sense his malice.
@clarissanavarro27623 ай бұрын
He is the worst, because on the surface he is " an ally" to the trans, but... he is making cisgender women feel defensive. Making it seem as if " look at all these people that also see Trans women as "Lesser" because if they didn't they would not be offended to be seen as Trans" Sadly he may be zeroing in on a point. How many cis-allies while understanding that we shouldn't be treated like dirt, are actually insulted to be confused with us? I admit, it is a horrible thing to do, because the first instinct is to "correct" the idiot,.... but in doing so you play into his narrative. No one stops to think..." aha I see what you are doing." I mean if I were a cis woman under those circumstances I would not bother correcting them and just say.."Yes, Transgender women do have it hard in a world populated with ignorant bigoted transphobes, I am so glad you are an ally." Seriously, do not even correct them but say instead... " How transition goes is a very private thing and to be honest, I do not see how it is any of your business." And just walk away. I know it's a Lot for cisgender allies to be cognizant of,... I mean no one expects to be accosted by transphobes at a PRIDE parade when they are cisgender. But... sometimes being a good ally means eliminating even the discussion of " am I cis or trans" entirely.... If cis allies truly believe that trans women are real women, then they should not speak as though whether they are cis or trans matters. That is what "Trans women are real women." means.... that being trans should not matter. So.. being called Trans should not be what matters. This reminds me of the time that a cisgender woman that was GNC short hair, and pretty tomboyish was accosted in the woman's bathroom because some ignoramus accused her of being trans and the cis-woman instead of saying " Oh I am not trans, I am cis." Just treated her like... " doesn't matter if I am cis or trans so not even gonna answer that,... I have a right to be here,...if you disagree, call security." Turns out the security guard was her BF...lol..... What I loved about that was that she did not go for the " oh you are confused,...I am cisgender and have a right to be here." she actually argued the correct point... "Whether I am cis or trans, I have a right to be here." Just go with "Trans women have it hard because of you, and you need to stop."

As a cis queer, I wouldn’t like to be “mistaken” for a trans person simply because it would be misleading. I hope I’m a good ally. But it would be untruthful and presumptuous for me to represent as, or be represented as, trans.

I have a tip for trans people that while I am cis was told by my friend. When someone asks some really personal question say about you just ask something really personal like “Do you shave down there?” If they say that's none of your business then say how about you mind your own business. Its worked so many times and its so funny watching them walk away so embarrassed. Stay strong kings, queens, and monarchs. 👑🩷🩵🤍

Oof as someone who is mixed and is black and latina and also someone who has darker skin. When I say that the black woman who was interviewed has every right to be just offended. I can firmly say her anger was not because of her viewing of trans people but it has more to do with societal issues. Often cis woman that are black and brown, do not fit in with the european standards of feminine beauty. Often than not the european standard is placed upon these woman and are used to degrade them as "Masculine" due to their "strong" ethnic feautures. This can lead to more misunderstandings. Such as a sense of racism used against her, as most say that brown woman and especially darker skinned or black woman are "too masculine". I sympathize with her there and hope you, Samantha, did not take offense to what she said as I too would feel a bit ticked off from what he kept pushing on her because like what the fuck dude, why.

So fun fact. At SF pride I, a trans woman, was interviewed by someone that turned out to be a far-right theocrat and I made it into his online anti-trans hate video. Proudest moment of my life. I find it very empowering that I can trigger so many awful people just by existing and being myself. I also got called out by the Christian protesters there and that was pretty fun as well.

most women are so insecure that when a cis woman gets asked about their transition I can understand why they'd be offended. I'm saying this as a trans woman. Sure wish I was born a cis woman and I think many trans women wish that. I have my insecurities but at a certain point you just gotta work with what you have even if occasionally you're seen as a freak for being yourself... You start to wonder if you deserve to be happy but at a certain point it becomes the norm and now your goal is to be happy as yourself even when the world hates you. I was happy before transitioning but I didn't feel complete. Now I'm refinding my happiness while being complete in a world that says I should be😅 I hope my fellow trans sisters, brothers and non-binary pals are able figure this out for themselves.
