It really has been an odd winter all over. Nice to see you out in the garden. I'm sure the plants will be great.

Your approach to gardening reflects my own. I learn so much from you because I do all my own gardening - even the heavy "man stuff" and I'm a senior citizen so when I want something to materialize I just go ahead and try it to see if I can pull it off. I think the most valuable thing I got from you is the mini chainsaw!!! I'm generally kind of afraid of power tools but that "little fella" looked so manageable for me that I got one for myself. "Game changer" is exactly right! I used to exhaust my poor arms hand sawing fallen branches and now I just zippity do dah right through anything in my way! Love from Canada to you.

Good afternoon Jes, always fun hanging out with you. We have had a wonderful winter so far here in Ohio also. Hope you and Nate and Max had a wonderful blessed start of the New Year 2024. So hard to believe we are in the New Year already. 😊❤ So far so good though. Thanks Jes for showing us that we can transplant even in the winter. I too have Annabelle Hydrangeas. I certaintly hope your Annabelles do well after transplanting them which i think they'll do great. Have a great time with brother and the rest of your family tell everyone hello and again thank you brother for his service to our country 😊❤🇺🇸 God bless him and watch over him wherever he may go. Love your family ❤ God's blessings to you all 😊❤❤

That is some smart gardening. You got 3 new plants from dividing the ones you already have. Good luck!

I came across your channel when I was researching transplanting hygrangeas! And most other videos did it in the winter when the shrubs where dormant so I think you will be OK! I have done mine a few days ago so fingers crossed 😅🤞

What a blessing this winter has been so far! Here in Ontario Canada we also have no snow on the ground. It’s been a mild winter so far. I take every day I can be outside and enjoy every minute of it. Spring will be here before we know it, can’t wait. The best part is with the mild temps it’s going by fast!

I love your “just do it” mentality in gardening. I would have done the same thing if my hydrangeas needed thinning right now. Can you tell me where you got your red boots? I love the color and they look like they are perfect for gardening. ❤

love, love, love!! hydrangeas are my favorite and I loved seeing you transplanting these in JANUARY!! way to go! I have a question on pruning. When you prune your Annabelle’s in the spring, how far down do you cut them (how much stem do you leave)? I have one Annabelle that is a couple years old and it is so incredibly floppy compared to yours. I am thinking I need to leave 12 to 18 inches of stem when I prune, to get some strength to hold up those big blooms.
