at 45:50 a better way would have been to use the bus stop as connection between the road and the train station. (new feature for Transport Fever 2) at 52:00 I think the game tells you what the issue is when you hover or right click the red markings (square and circle) in the exclamation marks drop down menu. You can check the distillery to see if it's producing whisky for the pub. (check the consumers tab)

Transport by water was always the most effective mode of transportation. That's one of the reason for us building near water. You don't need to built tracks or roads and you can move large volumes/weights with ease.

As for the "double connections" from the fishery, I think the narrator never told you to establish a ship line to Glasgow, only the rail line at the end of the mission. The only ship line you had to made was the one to the (prebuilt!) harbour at the distillery.

When you cloned the train, it cloned at the original depot..remember, you unhooked that depot from the line, and created a new depot. When you duped the train, it went to the depot where the FIRST train was created. Easy peasy. This wasn't random at all... it knew where train #1 was created, so it cloned it at the same manufacturing depot.

13:04 you could have drawn it across to the outer track and clicked on the junction to make a double-slip junction to allow the trains onto both tracks instead of drawing two separate tracks

I agree, and it seems he doesn't completely understand the signals, since he was thinking too much in blocks and not enough in paths. (the signals are smarter than he thinks)

He has a double track (for one-way traffic) but puts signals for both ways on the same track thus making it a two-way line. With 2 tracks he should just think like it's a road and only put signals on one side. Not only that but the signal he puts has been selected as "two-way" so even if the desired outcome is both directions on the same piece of track there's still only the need for 1 signal (but toggled as two-way). Someone needs to go back to the Factorio train school to learn how tracks and signals work :D lol

I have a strong feeling that it was just a question of time and volume of whisky to ensure that the pub got what it needed. The other commercial buildings also had a need for whisky and they just happened to take priority.

I think maybe the problem with the Pub is that it's surrounded by other buildings that have a demand for the Whisky too. I'd guess that eventually it'll get around to the Pub's "turn" to get supplied.

Maybe the coal didn't go straight to the train station because the truck stop was closer? I also can't help but notice that traffic is on the right hand side, has the game not got different orientations because if I remember correctly, TF 1 did.

i think if you click the red icon at the right of the window when you put the wrong vehicle on a line it tells you whats wrong. that window is just telling you that something isnt right in that case the vehicle cant pickup its cargo

The location at the pub is accept only. It doesn't appear to be able to disburse the whisky to any other location. The deliveries are paid by the location, NOT by the pub. The alcohol needs to be transshipped FROM a receiving location. Could a truck stop be mandatory? Just thinking out loud.

Watching this series has tempted me to reinstall TF1 which I bought at release and didn't play alot of tbh. The mod scene for TF1 is pretty crazy though and I'm sure the same will happen again with TF2 when it releases. I'm not seeing a huge amount of improvement over TF1 if I am honest...just some subtle UI refinements here and there such as the modular system for depots, stations etc (which i admit is a nice addition). I'll keep watching this series though, keep up the great work Paul !

I haven't played TF2, but IMHO, the influence distance between stations and industry should be smaller. It seems to open the opportunity for exploits.

Hey Squirrel, I think the pub had to increase its level. When you clicked the building, there's a bar at the top of the window that says "Level". It was still in Level one but was increasing with every delivery. Perhaps it had to reach Level 2?

For me whisky and fish "Shipment" is just flashing brown and cargo is not getting into harbor. Dock is connected directly and productions is 100% per chart. I am stuck. Any help please

That city harbor requires truck stop connected to Harbor and another truck stop in the center of the city. Eventhough, the city harbor was connected to the city directly streets.
