Transport Fever 2 | The Piddlemouth Coast | Episode 31

Hello and welcome back to Transport Fever 2!
We're back on the Piddlemouth Coast today continuing to expand our freight network. We'll be trying to get some oil over to our plastics factory, so we can produce goods for the neighbouring cities.
The most unpopular choice today will be the replacement of the HST's with Virgin Class 221 Voyager units. Well they're faster, cheaper, and according to Transport Fever 2, can carry more people! Why would we not replace them?!

I absolutely love pacers! My favourite characteristic of them is, due to their bus-like interiors, they feel way more open and have a certain charm that other trains simply lack

I know its ages to late mate, but when in a map this filled with lines, you should check if your existing lines can possibly be of service for you on their trip back... Here your plastic train can bring machines back on its return, same with the oil to plastic train, it passed right by the oilwell there. Just tip for your current saves :)

Great video mate. I share the same opinion as you with voyager, but i like the AWC livery. I think next some of the older sprinters could become 170s in the future. :)

My fav livery is the new swr livery ,the one with blue and light grey with slightly darker grey stripes and a yellow highlight however the older one is also a bit marmite but I love it, the one thats was white or blue with the red orange and yellow stripes

Of course, the 222s are the better choice of DEMU to travel on - even better than the voyagers; more wider, more comfortable and better seats, even for taller people like myself which needs taller seat backs and better posture. At least on the Meridians, I don’t feel like someone is going to sit on my lap and can stretch one’s legs.

Hi Joe I share your sentiment on sticking to your guns and going all Diesel Maybe we can sneak in a cheeky little heritage line. As far as the voyagers go I wonder if the mod has any longer sets? 5 cars feel a tad on the short side.Cheers MD

Nice video! For a suggestion for the Transmap Regional, you should use half voyagers and half HST’s to make it more interesting instead of only 1 type of train on the route.

I like that idea South Coast Transport! I was perhaps thinking of still electrifying and using Pendolinos... as HST’s would be too slow and would have voyagers queued up behind them 🤣

Pacers are nice and I dont mind a voyager as the meridian is good and very quick acceleration

If you decide to add more voyagers could you add more 221s but in cross country (arriva varient) I would love to see a mix of the VT and XC 221s in different lengths.

Joe, none of the wagons you have are North American. Lol the plastics train is using what appears to be more German rail cars than anything else. The closest rail car in America to that design would be a steel coil car.
