Mate, If you’re into the whole track car day thing, I legit suggest buying a go kart, either a rotax or a i Honda Prokart. They’re so much fun, and you won’t have to worry about booking the track as it’s just arrive with your kart and drive at kart tracks. There’s also a good few ones near Liverpool, hooton in Chester is good, and rednal near Oswestry (on the way to Shrewsbury) is also sick. Go karts a hell of a lot cheaper than cars and easier to maintain. I do get you want the challenge though, but worth a thought pal! If you do get one a do go might even see you at one of those if you go! Great video as always mate
@harrymain5 жыл бұрын
Ok mate that’s actually fair!!! How much is a kart??? What’s the rough prices for day sessions?
@dingleberrys2325 жыл бұрын
Harry Main Honda Prokarts (which has, either, two 200cc Honda 4 stroke engines, or two 160cc Honda 4 stroke engines on them), start at £400 if you get lucky on ebay, but you’re most likely looking at a realistic range of £500 - £1000. I got jammy with mine and bought it as a rolling chassis so I just had to buy the engines so in total it cost me about £450 to build mine. Advantages of a prokart is they’re way less temperamental compared to a rotax, and are easier to maintain, however they are a bit slower than a rotax. But you can get them tuned as hell by skimming the heads, upgrading the air take, exhaust, push rods and valves, etcetera. But they are bundle of fun either way. Another option is a rotax. These are a two stroke 125cc karts. They’re more expensive than a prokart and are a little bitch to maintain compared to it. Like when I say a bitch I mean a bitch (you gotta so shit like rebuild the engine ever like 15 hours of using it and clutches need replacing a lot and yeah, you deffo want to do your research when buying one of them). But if you’re after a challenge, then a rotax is a valid choice (but seriously do your research about them, because when I go to the track, a lot of the time guys are spending half the time trying to get them starting). A rotax kart starts around £800 - £1300. Track days are pretty cheap, like for rednal it’s £35 per kart and 1 person to drive that kart for the whole day (from 10:00 - when the close at 5/6), and if you want an extra person it’s just an extra £10. Rednal kart track is on Facebook and I’m sure if you did want to get into karting, if you gave them an email or call and explain about your KZbin channel and ask to get a bit of a taster on a legit kart like a rotax (not one their renter karts), theyd most likely be happy to! I’ve made karts sound a bit more temperamental than they are, but I just don’t want to sell them like you’ll turn up and go, because sometimes it won’t be like that and you will have to do some head scratching sometimes to get them going. But the karting community is super kind and guys at rednal will always help you out if you’re stuck on anything
@dingleberrys2325 жыл бұрын
Harry Main once you get the kart, the maintenance costs aren’t that much, and not really a scratch on a car really. And if something goes wrong on a kart it will most likely be easier to fix than on a car. Like if the engine blows on a kart you can get just take the engine off the chassis with a couple of bolts, and take it apart, change the parts and put it back on. If you compare it to a car, like if something went wrong on a car you gotta get all in the engine bay which can be so fiddly. I dunno, just thought it might be worth a thought mate!

You should have put a little slice into the carpet, run the screw through the board and then pressed the carpet back over, once installed to the panel and hiding the screw. Looks much cleaner. Great work so far though.
@Shaunmiitch5 жыл бұрын
Peice of advice mate when you're rolling the carpet over the panels use the can to flatten the folds abit like trying to flatten a paper fold and it will help it stick and makes it easier to install

Hi lovin the t6 content . I am doing my van at the same time . Are you still going for swivel base on passenger seat. I am considering this myself but like you am worried about grinding the lip off. Just fitted bed mine its from streamline beds i would highly recommend. They fit for free and only takes an hour. You mentioned about fitting bikes in and units. I am in process of doing mine now . I have managed to get bike behind cab seats and mount units behind down one side. If taking more bikes . I would say maybe go full width bed and not have units down one side. Or bike rack . Cheers. Paul.

That is awesome Paul how much was your bed mate? And whereabouts did they install it through the floor or the walls?? Also mate I was so close to pulling that bulkhead trim out but in the end I just thought you know what what the hell I’ve just left it.
