Ooooh Dartford, didn't think you'd come up this far. I'll be honest, I used to be anti-satnav, used to have the attitude of all the old guys, had a Garmin that I couldn't get on with and most of the time couldn't get it to work. Eventually ended up returning it back to Garmin as it was faulty. Now got a TomTom, still don't like blindly following it, but it's great for traffic ETA when the office phone up. It's way easier and less stressful when going somewhere new. It might take you a silly way, but no need to worry about weight restrictions at every turn etc. I'm still a believer in common sense, but satnavs make the job easier. Still got my papermap book just in case! ... On the A22, too. Will have to keep my eyes out for you. Normally if I go to Southampton that's all I'll do all day, there, possibly reload out of there and then back to Tilbury. Mind you, I've done Southampton and back by 11am but that was during lockdown so no traffic. Done Tilbury to Southampton, back to Tilbury to then go to Bedford, tipped and back to Tilbury. No wonder I been off for six weeks now to recover from that😂all the best mate, stay safe👍👍

Cheers for the great comment. I always double check the route the satnav recommends and check against a map if it doesn't look right. I'm also very familiar with the Tilbury to Southampton route, almost do it with my eyes closed 😂

I cant mind if it is a chain or a elastic band on them... my mate picked one up with a blown engine. The bottom pulley was not locked in place. It started and drove to the junction after a throttle happy take off. The engine let go in spectacular fashion.

Hi Kev, watched all your vlogs and the new ones. When you tie down the cars on the transporter I think these guys have a good system and it looks safer and more secure. Good stuff kev.when it's raining and the roads are wet in the winter u might get very wet getting underneath cars to put chains on so hope they give you wet weather gear but seem a good firm .

If i was you when you have a vehicle on the spoons, always check the wheel nut tightness on the wheels on the ground, i had a bmw e 30 on my spoons years ago and the back wheel fell off and overtook me 🤣🤣

The wireless trailer board is the best thing ever invented..... As long as the dam thing is put on charge by the person who used it the day before.. Magnets are no use as the metal is so thin or the tail is plastic or glass now a days.

Dartford and Isle of grain was an night mare when I used to work security in those areas I had to travel from ramsgate Kent to them places I got really anoyed because of the traffic trying to get home after an 12 hour night shift.

If it wasn't for the need for the rego plate the magnetic ones would be the way to go, there is even wireless ones available. That being the case I think in your instance the wireless board would definitely be the go in your instance.

Perhaps you should have popped into Bretts and had a chat with Wincanton if they are still there nice, little number hauling block and brick big waiting list I suppose: but seems like a lot of work dragging in scrap cars for just as much hassle as general haulage. Just come across your channel kevtee, always interesting watching others working. Just a quick question about spectacle lifts. Once the car is on does it become a trailer and would need to have working brakes, especially if it came off the lift and do you need a class one licence to tow with a spectacle lift as you would need one with a trailer.

Hi Kev, you’re the most experienced Volvo driver that KZbin’s that I’m aware of (conscious you don’t drive it any more) I just did my first day in a 16 plate Volvo artic and I’m a bit lost, do you have any video links that explain all the controls so I can get the best out of it?
