The largest pipelayers were made with Allis Chalmers HD41 dozers, they won't fit on a single trailer

I’ve run the RL64’s. Nice machines. Not as simple or fast as a Cat but that cab isn’t bard to get used to.

I'm not a trucker, but it seems that the weight is too far forward with 16 tires on the trailer and 8 on the tractor (plus the steer tires which I realize need to carry some of the weight).

X Recon, do you have generous axle loadings permitted for that rig, as that pipelayer surely must weigh 85,000 lb ? Here in Europe we would need 4 axles on the trailer for that load. Thats a mighty impressive pipelayer.

47000 lbs? Thats around 22 metric tonnes. That machine must surely be more than that? According to Liebherr it weighs 59.35 metric tonnes. I think Recon usmc is trolling. I suspect the truck driver is going to put a Dolly under the front of that trailer, otherwise it would definitely be over on the drives.
