Transpose the key on the MODX

How to transpose keys on the Modx8

I want to transpose one patch only on live set. While leaving others alone, I see no options or videos on that

I save patches individually for certain songs with each instrument in the patch transposed to the key I need. Give it the name of the song and save it. You select the first instrument in the patch and the select edit - once you have it transposed then go to the next instrument and the same until you have all the instruments transposed. Then simple store it as a new patch with your desired name. Hope that helps!😊

How do you go up one key from what you are actually playing?

Hi Paul! To go a key higher…Hold the shift button and simultaneously click the transpose button up one increment. There will be a pop down at the top of the screen indicating + 1. Hope that helps!

So with this Keyboard right to do the Transpose do I hold the shift button in order to Transpose the Key right? Even though I've used the MODX before.

Correct! To transpose the key “hold shift” and use the up and down arrows to shift a half step up or down with each press.

I have a MODX6, I have my synth split between 2 sounds, is it possible to only transpose ONE of the 2 sounds?

Yes you can! select the part and the select edit from the pop out menu on the left. in the edit screen select the "pitch" tab. from there you will be able to adjust the pitch of the individual parts of any layered patch! Hope that helps!!!

Does the transpose stay active if you change performances? Or is it only active while you are using the current performance? Thanks.

It will stay transposed for all performances. You’ll have to reset it if you don’t want it transposed on the next patch.
