Daniel, when you were showing the pig trap, I saw the lights that you said were on the windmills, I thought it was a Huge UFO! 😊 👽🛸 Taping that light is a good idea. You had 10 pigs in there at once. Maybe instead of spreading the corn around put it in the center that way the pigs are furthur away from the edge resulting in a better chance they won't escape when the trap drops. Earl is a pretty cool dog and the name fits him well.

Thank you for explaining the blinking lights. I wondered about that. Well, I guessed "4 or 5" on the reel you posted. 5 was good number, but they were on the small size. It's a shame the cell signal isn't stronger, but you did good. Hopefully you will catch more!

Daniel people don’t understand the concept of burning 🔥land off. But I can vouch for it , we had a 2500 acre Timber company tract of land we leased for deer hunting and hunting in general. They’d burn off all the undergrowth every 3-4 years & a few months afterwards everything would pop up green and lush and beautiful. That ash from the fire puts nutrients in the soil and grass and new growth takes off like wildfire. (No pun intended ) 😂. But this helped our deer & rabbit populations like people wouldn’t believe!!! Because it provided first the timber the chance to grow without undergrowth tree competition robbing nutrients from the soil. Secondly it promoted fresh new green growth for all the foraging animals such as deer, rabbit ect. Third it helped in depopulation of many poisonous snakes which in our area of the south east USA was copperhead and rattle snakes. But give it 3-4 months in MAY & JUNE and you’ll be able to show people how fast things green back up. That’s the best thing you could’ve done for your wildlife quality & population. The difference in quality of deer 🦌 our hunting property produced from burns 🔥 & properties in the same county which didn’t burn was a big noticeable difference ....We were harvesting 140+ B&C & Pope & Young and a buck 🦌was taken 600 yards from my deer stand on an adjoining hunting club that was 177 inch B&C . Which made me sick he was my Target 🎯 Buck I was hunting but that’s how it goes sometimes. There were deer 🦌 on our property that were bigger than that but we’re very hard to hunt, Considering there were only 8 of us hunting our 2500 acre club. Other hunting clubs in our same County that didn’t do burns 🔥had only tops 120 inch class deer. People are definitely gonna be envious of the quality deer 🦌 you, Emmalee & Houston harvest off that property in next 3-4 years !!!! 😁👍🏼

Those smaller, black ones look like perfect eating size. Glad to get them off the landscape.... well, off your landscape. I have mixed feelings about the releasing them on the hunt club, but mostly because we had people who would capture and release in a NOT high fenced area and it caused many additional issues and laws being passed regarding transportation

I was in Oklahoma a few years ago when I was given a retirement gift from my daughter. I bought a turkey license for the guided hunt. The rancher told me if I got a chance to take a wild pig, "Take it!" That was April 2007. By the way, that turkey sure tasted great. People asked for "seconds".
