Great podcast guys! I was lucky enough to hang out with Stu and Bill Duke at our camp at the NTA two nights! What great guys! Stu lives a few hours south of me! I wish I could make it to your rendezvous but going to the Illinois convention to meet up with some new trapper friends! A friend of mine from Illinois is coming over and I told him to tell you hi! The bobcat permit # this year is rumored to be 2000 permits, up from the 1000 permits issued in the past.

In PA, we have a real decrease in the bobcat population. My opinion is that the kitten is falling prey to the fisher. There are other critters ruffled grouse, squirrel, turkey, and rabbit, to name a few. I have to contribute it to the fishers that migrated into the state. We can purchase a permit to harvest one per license year. I have not set fisher sets and caught several in the past few years. Always ahead or behind the 2 week season. I think the population of the fishers is higher than the law makes think.
