n is usually set by the question. If not, the bigger n you choose, the closer the answer gets to the true area. (As n goes to infinity)

That's a nice work done. But what easiest way to work out the question below.......... thanks for your effort in advance. Use the trapezoidal rule with x=1,1.5, 2, 2.5, 3, 3.5, 4 to estimate; In= ʃ 4,1 dx/1+x correct to 3d.p
