Always great to see those Kids learning about trapping. And the importance of balance.

The kids look like they really enjoy the trapline! Lots of great helpers gathered sticks for the Lynx cubby .. the best of luck to you and the kids on the next check!

Those little kids were a riot. They are from a rural community outside of the main city and absolutely love being on the trapline and playing in the bush😁

Yous have warm weather out there, we've been stuck with minus -30 weather for a week, gonna be out tomorrow too!
@deadpinecollective9 ай бұрын
This last week has been-30 to -35 as well. This vid was just before the cold snap. It’s -25 today and we are back out checking those traps in the vid.

I’m not sure 🤔 but I’m thinking you’re the only or close to be the only guy bringing kids along for trapping lessons. Props friend 👍✌️

It’s a pretty new concept for larger centers but smaller communities, especially in the north are doing some similar things.

That Rachel is pretty serious about it isn't she? That's nice to see. Thanks for the video Brother! Take care.

She is very serious. I’ve only had one other student (the year I started this) as serious and interested. Unfortunately it was his Sr year when we started this up. I saw that in her one her first trip and offered the opportunity to come out regularly. Lots of kids absolutely love being out there, but she actually loves the profession of being a trapper from site location, setting traps, to skinning and processing the hide. Very rare at that age!

Awesome video I think with the cold snap coming and some snow things will start moving

We were just out today, and coyotes are moving in after the wolves. Got one today. Not much else except squirrels 🙄😂

Another great day in the outdoors great for your youth students . One trick I use in front of my otter beavers traps in the creek to prevent grass is putting a stick with branches in front of the trap a foot or more prevent many sprung traps
@deadpinecollective9 ай бұрын
I like that strategy. I’ll give it a go in the spring
