Man that fox is suffering and scared to death. I know your proud of your catch, I would be to but put that thing out of his misery first. That should be the first order of business. Trapping is fun to do and my grandfather was one of the old best. It’s nice to see young people taking an interest in it. Happy trapping

The comments are dominated by people wanting to see a quick dispatch, but the point of the video is to admire the animals a bit before theyre dispatched, which I found interesting. Theyve been trapped for a while, a few more minutes doesnt make any difference in the great scheme of things, unless it was intentional torture for amusement or something.
@sint5990 Жыл бұрын
I appreciate you sharing these! You’re quite the trapper and I like how you do your sets. I’m the farthest one can get from being an animal rights wacko but I would critique your practice of selfies and videos etc before dispatching the animal. First, so people who are attached to those rights groups don’t watch this video and use it as ammo against trapping. Also, simply because it’s the right thing to do. No matter the reason, we should do our part to make sure animals who are snared don’t suffer longer than necessary, regardless of the suffering they’ve inflicted on our farm animals etc. keep the videos coming though, you have great knowledge and skill if like to learn from 👍🏽

I've lost 7 chickens the past 2 months. Thought it was raccoons. The birds were killed,dragged off about 50 yards into the woods, and just left uneaten. I caught a fox on our security camera yesterday, chasing the chickens. It killed 3 . Time to go to war.

Videos like this just give anti-hunting groups more fuel for their fire. It's great ammo for them when they see a trapper take 500 selfies with an animal that is clearly stressed out of it's mind and then shoot it. Respect the animal by putting it down, then take your pictures.

Hey bro I’m 27 and I know probably much more about fox trapping than you! Foxes are nasty nuissance, they steal our chicken or rabbits, kill pheasants, hares and other animals of our interest and spread diseases. And they have damn beautiful fur. Many good reasons to harvest em as strongly as possible. Traps, traps, traps, no compassion! You don’t have to watch trapping videos, but when I do, I like to have some fun with it. This video is really perfect. The trapped foxes on the video will be dead in couple of seconds or minutes and then will become just material for our wall decoration or our fur hats or maybe just wasted - so it really doesn’t matter how they spend the last minutes of their lives. They don’t suffer from being filmed, they are just afraid of human presence... All these bullshits about "respect to animals"... You probably eat meat and wear leather and that is what animals must really suffer for. So don’t be hypocritical. Maybe your relationship to animals will be more pragmatic when you will be adult.
@orionpetrie10634 жыл бұрын
Lukáš Bejček you definitely do, but you probably haven’t killed as many animals as i have if you don’t have the same level of respect or what you refer to as compassion. this guy @thegrindoutdoors maximized the amount of time this fox was being tortured for views (ultimately his own pleasure). nothing makes that right and if he had any respect for the “beautiful fur” that you talk about then he would harvest it as quickly as possible. trapping videos are dope and i wish they showed the kill more often but drawing it out like this like some fucking torture chamber is just wrong and stupid to watch. what nationality are you anyway? i appreciate that you took the time to say what you had to say coolly and intellectually
@lukasbejcek88414 жыл бұрын
@@orionpetrie1063 I shoot ducks and other birds and I go fishing. I am really pleased you write you have killed animals - it is perfect you are hunter /traper at your 17! It is very nice when young people as you (and me) do those acitivies... I hate when oversensitive city boys, who have never seen a wild animal except ZOO, talk into hunting or trapping! So we both have killed animals and know what it is about. You talk about respect. I think respect to people is needed mainly. For example, I hate naughty young people opposing wearing fur when they are rude to ladies just because of her fur coat... But in the case of trapped animal which we are going to shoot, talking about respect seems a little absurd. This beast is not tortured. It doesn°t suffer physically if the traps are good, it is only stressed from the trapper’s presence. Rightly. But from an animal’s view, being killed is much worse than staying in human’s presence. What would it choose if it was give the chance? I think, hunter ot traper should not be sentimental. He shouldn’t be sorry for animals he kills, he is entitled to have fun with his prey. So I like that boy in the fur hat. That’s my view. I could not kill my birds or fish, if I were sentimental to it. I am from the Czech Rep. Thanks for your appreciation. The same is to say about you (I have forgotten your 2nd comment :)). Good luck in your hunting/trapping!

Hey Thanks and I got a few suggestions for you - regarding teaching people like me that agree with some comments indicating this is hard to watch - because the fox (or whatever other animal) is clearly stressed/should be dispatched (killed) quickly. What I think will help is tell us (in every video) that in Pennsylvania /Kentucky (wherever you are) the law allows for removals by trapping (or what ever the law says, and that you have your permit to hunt/trap or whatever is required - so this way you are saying your doing this responsibly.... and it tells others whats the right thing to do. Also tell us why your doing this - but don't just say oh foxes can carry rabies - even if that a true statement, when was the last time you heard of a human getting rabies from a rabid fox? Having a credible reason also helps me understand that you are not doing this just for the selfie. Lastly, a big part of what your not showing is how you put the animal down - well you can at least tell us what you think the best approach is and how you managed that - otherwise you get some other guy saying just beat it with a claw hammer - which sounds horrible - so tell us you're not doing that! - thx.
