Trapped For 2 Hours!! Schindler 3300 Traction Elevators | Hillsboro, OR.

Here are some brand new Schindler elevators.
Everything goes normally... Until it doesn't.
I as was taking thumbnail photos, I took the elevator for another ride. As I was going back down to leave, that's when it happened... The elevator pulled an emergency stop on me & trapped me in between the 1st & 2nd floor.
In the grand scheme of things, things could've been much worse. The elevators were new & clean, and smelled nice.
I was trapped for 2 hours until a Schindler technician finally came to reset the controller...
If you guys know, my favorite elevator company has been Schindler... I grew up with a lot of their older models.
A lot of small events have happened the past month with Schindler in general, and it's caused my like for them to drop drastically... I'd prefer OTIS or TK Elevator any day now...

I was told by an employee once that the elevators can break down so I step out & listen

This is why all elevators should have a user-accessible reset button! These kind of glitches are becoming increasingly common and nobody deserves to wait hours in a stalled elevator over a stupid controller malfunction.

The controller should instead reset on its own after a certain time. A user-accessible reset button would be abused so much that elevators would become useless.

​@@EvergreenElevators True, but the idea was to treat it as another emergency button like the phone or alarm bell. Self resetting is a good idea as well

My bad, I unlocked the outer door to look on top of the elevator not knowing that you were in there and that it would refuse to move again. In all seriousness, if I was physically there and I heard that you got stuck in that elevator, I bet I could've gotten you out right then and there. Also, who was with you in the video?
