Raila only looks out for his own interests. Right now he wants AU chairman and needs Rutos support. At the time no one from ODM could even engage with Ruto or be seen with Ruto. ODM would sanction you. But for him meeting Ruto no problem as long as something is dangled in front of his face Like AU Chairman then he is for it. after coming out of KICC, yesterday Raila noticed the masses were not with him,in fact they were super angry with his move. Now here is where Raila is somehow a genius in politics. Today morning he released an official statement as ODM. followed by Sifuna's strong party statement as SG. Raila has officially put his foot on the ground and showed power n zero fear. Raila simply consolidated his supporters and announced to the world that ODM and its fans are not together with genz demonstrators. He has simply opened the door of possibility to work with leaderless genz incase they need a formidable force come 2027. now it's clear KK has its supporters locked, Azimio has locked its n now its upto "genz" to decide which direction they want to take. remember, general elections are won in villages not cities.

Prof some people are very good in the engine room but mediocre when moved into corner office. I'm related to a very smart medic working as consultant in a major hospital who chose to go back to the wards after a short stint as an departmental head.
