Yep that's the intent, and Stanley is Frank Burns, the format is the same too, just 1 hr and more drama but caring doctors, patient stories and hinjinx with Stanley always trying to get the prankest guys on something, but they are too clever.

As a kid I loved this show and I still do too but I'm struck with how unethical the staff did to try to trick the daugher, even if she already knew. There's other stuff too as an adult I cringe at but its a lot of fun to watch.
