Looks like you had a successful season Jim. I just had a dream last night about 4 bobcats sitting in trees when a walk a path. Lol. And we don't have bobcats in our area. Good to hear about the good health too

That was crazy, wild brother! Lucky it was your hand and not your face. There is just no way we can match their speed when they decide to come. Not sure about that hair falling out. That's usually where they first start slipping if the hide taints a little. You had a great season and I enjoyed every episode! Thank you my friend.
@LiveMoreOutdoors8 ай бұрын
Yup...wild animals are faaaaast! I usually skin within a few hours of dispatching. Not sure if it would taint that fast. If so, I learned a lesson. Thanks for all your support buddy!

I have videoed and timed 3 different ways to dispatch a bobcat and if done correctly a catch pole is a couple seconds faster than a lung shot. I made a big mistake this year and had to call the DNR on myself a couple of weeks ago. They were very good to me.

It's January, the mating season for cats. I've seen as many as 6 bobcats at one time, together. One female with 5 toms after her. Congratulations.
@LiveMoreOutdoors8 ай бұрын
That's crazy! I was suspecting they were after a female. Some areas of our state have quite a few cats. Sometimes I think a few mote tags could be issued.

Your channel might be my favorite Jim! From the initial scripture verse to the end it is well done - straight up and honest. Those bobcats sure were something. I'd be too chicken to try to release them! How long did it take the fella from the Game Commission to get to you and if you wanted to purchase the cat, what would they have charged? Last but not least, and I think I had mentioned this to you earlier this year, those Grey fox are beautiful! Out here in Western PA - they're few and far between. I need to head out your way next season and have you help me harvest one! 😉
@LiveMoreOutdoors8 ай бұрын
The cats sure were something! It took the officer a couple of hours because he was trapping turkeys for a study. The grays are definitely beautiful. Come on over...I'd love the company on the line. Thanks so much for watching and the feedback brother!

Bubba you was really lucky yes they are very fast glad it didn’t get you it was awesome double on cats have you considered making a 4 foot catch pole I’ve have 2 right now that’s how I load up my coyotes for live market but being on cable restraint might not be visible any great catches tight chains
