Thanks for posting another damnfine video. Seeing that caribou all cut up made my mouth water. Nice to see your lynx "greying" up also. Beautiful fur. Looks like you and Cousin Quinton made out like bandits on the high quality knives. Congrats. Be safe on the line Andrew, and may your stretchers be full and safety be your companion.

Another excellent piece of work Andrew and Quinton. You seem to be catching more Marten this season. I appreciate that in most of your video's you spare us close-up shots of the kill shot. As a trapper I think that we all prefer the animal to be dead when we arrive, but sometimes that is not possible, and it is not enjoyable to me to have to shoot an animal in a trap. I think some anti-trappers think we enjoy it, but it is just part of it. In the old days I know my dad used a paddle as a club

Hey Man i was just checking on fur prices. Thats brutal!!!! I mean it would be an amazing job living in the bush trapping, and a lot of work, skinning and fleashing. But fur prices should be much higher, everything else goes up in price, fuel, traps, machine parts, ammo, and groceries. Peace brother. Iron

Joe is from upstate New York, near the Canadian border, not New York City. Everyone seems to forget that New York goes up that far, and usually correlates New York state residency with the city. We who live up here, for the most part, would rather they cut New York off at Albany, and had 2 separate New York's. That way we wouldn't have to support all the city dwellers with our taxes.

@emmamae1100 That was really cool that you helped TheWildNorth out like that.Probably good advertissing also. We do a yearly Tak A Kid Trapping program here in Aklavik and a local elder / craftsman teaches tool making to the kids for a couple days. He teaches them to make knives traditional ulus and fish hooks. The kids really love it. At the same time the other half of the class learns to make stretchers and mink boxes. I apprettiate the craftsmanship, way to go!!
