Mr. Stanley, its a priviilege being able to view all these magical WildNorth video's. Its IMPOSSIBLE to choose but adventures with Charlie Dog must be some of our favourite episodes. The Fall Sheep Hunting trip was breathing-taking...literally!! I could hardly breathe whilst watching Charlie's encounter with the wolves unfold....thank God he made a full recovery. Belisle traps are top notch. It's amazing what they can hold. I make them my go-to trap whenever I can. Btw it's Bee-lie-al. Great work Andrew.

If I may.........I was trapping in the Yukon for years and most challenging was to catch all wolverines that I had on my line however after years of trying different methods I found that this worked the best. Set your 330 (without getting of snowmobile) by scooping snow next to your trail while sitting on your snowmobile then reach for the spruce branch break little branch and place it on the bottom of where you scooped the snow and then place 330 with trigger smeared with SCENT or some very very stinky small/tiny bait just enough to arouse wolverine leave it WITHOUT drag next to the trail. What you will find is that each and every time when wolverine comes by and tries (and he WILL) to sniff out the trigger he will set off 330 and his skull will get crushed, he will get killed INSTANTLY without moving one single step.Let me know if it will work for you also. Awesome video. I know just how you feel about the wolverine in the Martin box. I caught a bobcat in a Martin box with a leaning pole set. I was high on that for days. Really enjoy your videos. You should have all kinds of company out more often. Seams that's when you catch the wolverines lol

Suggestion. On all marten traps in wolverine country Consider replacing the wire tie down with chain and links. This helps prevent The occasional wolverine breaking free and taking a marten trap . Over the decades, The few extra wolverine quickly pays back the investment in chain with a swivel and quick link.

Those wounds look recent enough as they haven't totally healed over and look deep. You can see a bit of fat and muscle. I'm amazed whatever got him didn't nail the jugular vein! Always an exciting time on the line. You should write a book!

It is interesting that you stated that there is no right or wrong way to trap. You set a number of 330 traps only to catch the rogue wolverine in a 120 trap - an unexpected success but a good advertisement for the 120. Interesting video and trapping day.

Good you got the bait thief but too bad about the wound. I got a big male last year with a set of canine punctures mid back. and some on its fore arms. It was skinny, infected and it stunk but I cleaned it up, washed it and its good now besides the hole. I like the first wolverine catch when you had your girlfriend with you!
