What do you think about running lady labrynth in traptrix?

@stoic_hero_tcg why not use the entire ragnaraika package with Aroma Jasmine you can even get away with 1 evil seed and 3 of the raika continues spells?
@stoic_hero_tcgАй бұрын
@soulgunner6455 My deck primarily focuses on non-destruction removal, where as Ragnaraika has mostly destruction effects. Without running the extra deck monsters, there is little point to running most of the main deck ones.

You are fantastic. Thank you for these videos showcasing what the deck can do. I am new to the game and have purchased (in paper) the Traptrix structure deck. Although I struggle to follow all of the advanced plays especially those from the opponent's decks, I got a much better idea on how the game and the Traptrix deck is supposed to work. Great job!

5:43 Yo siempre prefiero invocar a Aracno Campana en fase enemiga y jamás muestro que tengo una o les hago creer que la desperdicie: Así si tienen tormenta o algún rompe tableros lo habrán desperdiciado en vano.
@stoic_hero_tcgАй бұрын
@@AntonioRodriguez-ld8ob Yeah, I will sometimes hold Arachnocampa back too, but it just depends. I have had players negate it on their turn, so if I have protection from Niberu, I will just use it on my turn, as Rafflesia protects your other Traptrix monsters, especially from Lightning Storm, as she will usually be in defense.

Thank you for all the Traptrix videos, they've all been very helpful for learning the deck. Especially appreciate the examples of boardbreaking with Myrms+Atypus, or recovering from an broken board+hand with just Sera. Can I ask about the current game plan around Allomerus and Cularia? In older vids it seemed like Cularia came out as a generic turn 1 endpiece, sometimes replacing Sera, but in more recent vids it seems like you prefer Pingu in that role, and Cularia never sees play. Is current meta just too fast for Cularia recycling effects? Same for Allomerus, is she mainly for extra Myrm/Pudica removal and making bigger endgame monsters now? Do you think her combo with Pudica is generally not worth gunning for (summoning enemy vs just attaching to Pingu)?
@stoic_hero_tcgАй бұрын
@@OniichanNoMaruMaru Good questions! Cularia is a decent option for grindy games and when Bagooska is more prevalent, but yeah, in most ways Pinguicula just outclasses Cularia. Both require 2 materials, but Pinguicula gives you a form of interruption (especially against decks like Tearlements, which is still fairly popular on ladder) and has more attack (especially with Atypus). Now, if you opponent has used Droll & Lock Bird on you (which happens if you open Traptantilizing Tune or if you are running some number of Pot cards), it is best to end with Cularia or Allomerus in those circumstances, which personally I think Cularia is the better of them, as you rarely have the third material for Allomerus, so if you bring back, say your Arachnocampa with it, to protect your back row, Allomerus loses its trap protection and the ability to summon a monster you destroyed or banished on your opponent's turn. With Tenpai in the game now, if your opponent has you go first, it is even better to just go Bagooska sometimes too. So yeah, in short, the game is too quick pace for Cularia grindiness, though it does still has its situational use sometimes. I might end up dropping it for S:P Little Knight, though, when I eventually get one. I have also seen some people opt for Beetrooper Armor Horn or Aromasaraphy Jasmine in the spot for Cularia, as they are far more active cards that you are more likely to go into.

@@stoic_hero_tcg Thanks for the detailed response! I've also seen a lot of Traptrix decklists with Jasmine alongside some other plant combo she opens up. Do you think there are any Jasmine->Strenna->big XYZ combos worth the Extra Deck slots for Traptrix, compared to the boardbreaking coverage you currently run with Atypus and other non-archetypes? Or would you consider the Jasmine just for cycling extra Dionaea and Pudica effects alone?
@stoic_hero_tcgАй бұрын
@OniichanNoMaruMaru Jasmine->Strenna->Hyperyton is pretty good, but I have not found a good line that I can consistently get that out, without adding more Rikka cards to the deck, which throws off the consistently. Right now, pure Traptrix has an easy line that gives protection from Niberu. I am going to playtest more with Sacred Tree Beast, Hyperyton, but as of now it is too much of an investment for me without a consistent enough payoff. The problem I find with Jasmine is her good effect requires her Link points, meaning she needs to be in the EMZ, which then means you usually have to you Sera as material for her and then either make another Sera or revive her (which then she does not have protection from traps). As much value that she can potentially bring, I just find it awkward trying to weave her into my plays currently, where as something like S:P Little Knight or Atypus (after I have already used Sera's effect) feels much more impactful.

@@AntonioRodriguez-ld8ob I used to use Kashtira the same way in both my Harpie deck and Traptrix deck. When they hit them pretty hard on the Master Duel banlist awhile ago, I found them less consistent and it would also open you up to Niberu more often too. I really want to get an S:P Little Knight, my next goal for the deck, as Traptrix can make it so easily. I find Bagooska works pretty well against Tenpai if they do not draw the out for it, but yeah I am definitely considering running something else as well, because so often they do have the out for it.

Love your traptrix videos! Can I ask you why you almost never include going second matches? Is the deck that much unreliable when going second??
@stoic_hero_tcgАй бұрын
@@Agamennonem There are many going second matches in my other videos, but the deck is primarily a going first deck. With there being more going second decks out there currently, I find myself getting to go first a majority of matches anyway, and a lot of times when I do go second, if my opponent bricks or quits immediately after I start breaking their board, it does not make for much of a replay. I try to get quality matches to help others learn the deck and that are interesting and fun to watch as well.

@@Agamennonem I plan on doing an in-depth video here soon, but have been sick a lot recently and not able to record commentary because of it. I have had a few matches against Tenpai (though none in this video) and you either play Bagooska first turn and they scoop, or they open 3 Dark Hole, go through all your disruption, and get one attack through with a non-negated monster and win from there. Have not had a good enough match to put to video yet, unfortunately.
