Trash Craft Tuesday - thrift haul + a pocket

Second-hand stores are dangerous for me, particularly when it comes to books.
But I am stoked with my latest finds and hope you enjoy getting a peek at the things I bought.
Plus a little pocket project using the instruction manuals that I have so many of.

Hi Belinda, what another lovely and some quite special haul! That little New Testament is gorgeous, way too special to cut up or rip into, in my humble opinion that is a keeper. The newspaper that Shane found for you is a junk journaler dream, he is definitely a keeper, Shane that is 😂. The New Testament us definitely going into our collection of treasures. Just thinking of the man it was carried by as he served in WW1, and the subsequent hands it was held by. It's precious. I think there's a bit of treasure hunter romanticism in junk journalling - the hunt, the thrill in finding a scrap of paper someone kept in a box for 50 years, or a book that's out-worn its relevancy. Junk Journal GOLD! 😄 Thank you sweet friend. 🤗🥰

Sorry to hear about your mums hope they begin to feel better soon, as one of those older parents I can relate, I am only just mobile and am petrified of falling again - it’s scary getting old

So sorry to hear about your Mum’s fall and your MIL with the side effects of chemotherapy. No fun. My hubby was in hospital this past week for five days . I was running on fumes. But he’s now home and on the mend. Stay strong and drink your water and get rest. Wonderful news that you are doing your local food bank.

The book isn't French. I'd say Spanish but I'm not all that good at with the language.

Oh my that caused me to do some research. I'm not sure which book you were meaning, though. 😆 The big book - Google and a translation app all confirm it is "Dictionary of French Language" by Emile Littre, a well known French lexicographer and printed in Paris. The little children's book I haven't checked as I've put it away, but I will do so. Then I had another one that I'm pretty sure is Dutch, printed in Amsterdam. I love any non-English books; they are fascinating to me. Thank you for watching. 😊
