Binge EP was MGK trying to make the most of the spotlight he had gained from the beef. Which did hurt him looking at statistics of the binge and hotel Diablo. There is only one major Hip Hop artist who's attained any notable notoriety, not to mention become embroiled in a storm of controversy, for his decision to include his daughter in his music, and surprise, surprise; it's the artist that is MGK's professed idol and obvious inspiration in a multitude of other ways. Please explain. I’m not a stan and would like to hear your perspective on it. Cause to me, MGK’s diss was playground insults and also most of the stuff he said we already knew about Em. There was nothing in it that could hurt Eminem. Killshot, while Em didn’t destroy him imo, Killshot still definitely won to me. It was way more cleverly written. And some of the insults just landed better to me. Long as I’m shady you’ll live in my shadow. Before he went to Rock, that always happened. Mgk was in Em’s shadow. Ofc most white rappers are but still. I’m 45 and still outselling you. I’d rather be 80 year old me, than 20 year you. All those. The only thing Rap Devil might have on Killshot is the beat. Cause when it comes to flow, Em wins again
@captainvann45262 жыл бұрын
Also, MGK’s diss was super inconsistent to me. Cause he would have a decent diss. But ruin it by multiple whack lines. So I’m not a big fan of a diss being inconsistent. @@akilbrazier1421 true I guess you have a point. Most of them that do though are mumble rappers so he is still putting himself in that category

This was mainly towards chainz who came out with the real rap devil who eventually came out with the remix (diss) towards mgk. Also called floor 13

In the el diablo song im suprised everyone missed his first bar was a diss to em saying i love all my competition but i brought em back just to kill him again lol.

Using his own daughter in the music seems very creative. Still, walking in his shadow.
@tillyc33025 жыл бұрын
He said "F***" in a whisper in the beginning and he has her say "Hotel Diablo" in a whisper at the end. Like he's saying "F*** Hotel Diablo".....as in, screw all the stuff that led me to have even write this raw album. His daughter is also a beacon for him, so her being a part of that says something on it's own.

@@tillyc3302 okay! whatever. That killshit missin isn't a diss to EM. He can rap but his career is gonna stale and fade very soon. He fucked up his own career when he went against em. This would have turned good for Kelly if he had kept his comment on em's daughter to himself. Well, regardless this a good record. But never forget to remember the name, Eminem.(check that song out!)

@@melvinmathew4273 nah MGK got so much exposure through his beef with Eminem and since he's done a track with Yungblud and is now releasing a rock album I think he'll be good He's been in the game long enough and has a loyal fan base
@melvinmathew42734 жыл бұрын
@@tonksnjoysatan8503 we will know when the first-week sales come in 🤣🤣. If he had a strong loyal fan base he wouldn't have changed the genre dude!😂. This last album sales flunked so hard the record label wanted to drop him. I hope he does well.😇
@tonksnjoysatan85034 жыл бұрын
@@melvinmathew4273 not necessarily. Changing genres is something you need a lot of courage for since you break away from the thing you're known for. Also he seems to be happier now than he did before and always talks about how he wanted to do a full on punk/rock album but didn't know if his fans would like it or not. He's experimenting and you can only experiment if you 1. Have nothing to lose or 2. Don't give a fuck since you know that you have the support. He does have a pretty active Fandom, not the biggest, but definetly a loyal one, so I think the second scenario is the case for him. And either way, it seems like he's finally happy again and that's all that matters. He's doing music he loves, has a loyal fan base and finally friends he seems to actually care about (eg Yungblud) Also I just wanna point out that Rapdevil didn't actually suck. If he had went up against someone else, he would've probably won. But then again, can someone actually beat Eminem? Coz I feel like even if MGK had went harder against Eminem, he wouldn't have won since Eminem is put on a pedastool and since everyone defends him like a lioness defends their cub. But idk, maybe that's just my perception. Still love both of them tho
