Real life talk man!!

I used to have f350 and 5x8 trailer with boards up the sides. I did it 3 times aweek had 400 accounts. Dumped trash free as long as I had my customers recycling ♻️. It was tough to get the routes consolidating areas to separate different sides of towns. I got divorced so I sold it. Truck was repossessed I sold the trailer and accounts. That was 10 years ago. Did very little cleanouts . Thought about rolloff cans. But knew it was alot of money. But last year I bought rolloff trailer and one Dumpster. I've picked up 2 more Dumpsters. So I've got 3 15yd Dumpsters. Been at it for a year. Started it on Saturday and now I do it after work. Because I'm doing a different job full-time in at 3am until 1pm dumps close at 430pm so I can rent out the 3 Dumpsters a week. Been slowly building up clients. Sustainability using the money back into business. Just a part time job for me. It's tough. Not easy just renting out Dumpsters. I do not advertise Facebook Business Page and Google reviews are key. I can't also answer the phone while at work. So I do lose potential clients. But only have 3 Dumpsters to rent out. So it is what it is. Definitely can't live off of it. So that's why the full-time job helps you to pay your bills rent and keep your wife off your back. If you got a family. Don't recommend quitting your job for awhile either. Unless you have 10 or more rentals in a week

I have been wanting to add residential trash to my dumpster rental. My first question is were can I buy some cans and what is the best size to go with.
@lakechamplainsanitation2 жыл бұрын
Size will really depend on your area but there are a few brands I know of Otto, Toter and cascade

Toter, Cascade and there’s one more I can’t remember the name.

I like your set up how many tons can you haul with the Chevy 5500 and do delivery 20yrds with it?
@rramz13457 ай бұрын
Yessir I deliver 10, 15, and 20 yard dumpsters. These are workhouse trucks! I've been around nine tons in a container and the truck handled it well. It was maxing it but still scooted down the road.

Is roll offs better than residential? for time and money
@secretjourney48152 жыл бұрын
I would say so
@WrightsOrganic2 жыл бұрын
Rolloff is more capital to start off though. Trucks, depending if you’re going Commercial etc etc plus brand new dumpsters are expensive as well.
@TheTallSkinnyWhiteKid2 жыл бұрын
@@WrightsOrganic yeah, i was thinking of getting into residential with a truck and trailer or like a dump truck or something like that, and than get some trash cans, and then get a packer truck

If your going to be a Trash man just do it! It will motivate you to get customers and give good customer service. It’s amazing how much business Residential Trash produces… Junk Removal and Dumpsters follow….You will always have a customer base to farm! Part time effort = part time reward. Hell yeah it’s scary jumping in with both feet BUT the rewards are endless…. Just my two cents

I don't agree! Residential trash customers are always looking for the cheapest and the most frequent pickup schedule. I had a little or a hundred accounts so part-time is a stretch. There's defiantly money to be made in residential trash but its a lot of factors that play into if you actually make money. I now focus on commercial and residential demolition. Until residential trash pays six figures in two weeks y'all can have it.
